I wanted so bad for this to work and was anxious to get it installed. What I didn’t realize was instructions say to attach to floor. I have wood floors and not willing to drill into them to attach. I returned it and was refunded with no problems. It did seem to be made well.

This gate is perfect to keep my 16 month old toddler from straying into the kitchen without me. It smoothly retracts when it’s not in use.

This was purchased to keep our fur babies from going down the stairs. A shorter version was needed as I needed to mount this to a small post on top of the steps. We open and close it several times a day and the spring/material is holding up well.The only reason it was knocked a star is the locking mechanism. Although it could be convenient to have an auto lock, I find it a hassle to constantly unlock to open or close the gate, especially with how low this is mounted to the ground. I ended up jamming a small screw in the top to keep it unlocked all of the time. If the dogs figure out how to open this, the lack of a lock would be the least of my concerns. Lol.All in all a great product, and with so few shorter gates out there on Amazon this one is definitely worth trying out.

So easy to use!! We use it for my one year old because our stair rail was too short for the actual retractable baby gates. Has made our lives a lot easier. No longer running up and down the stairs all day!

Perfect height for the new under the stairs dog-room I made! The gate is 24” tall, which works for me because my dogs are older and don’t climb over, though the yellow dog will put her paws on top of the gate when she wants out! It has held up well to that, and is easy to open and close! A retractable gate was the best option for us. Very easy to install and is very sturdy!

I use this to go across the driveway so the kids and dogs don’t bolt out of the house and run into the street. Works great and it’s super easy to remove if needed.

We have our gate up all the way across our open concept dining room that we are using as a playroom. It is great! Plenty of gate left over on the roll. A little sag on the bottom just from the way it clicks in. So if you are using it for a small dog or a very motivated kiddo then it might not be the gate for you. But for us it’s perfect. It’s super tall & keeps the inexperienced toy throwing contained. And we also use it to close off the space when we’re all done for the day & it goes up high enough and is dark enough in the evening it’s essentially like a wall and everything is as they say “out of sight out of mind” for our littles.I do wish there was an option to just buy extra end pieces so that we could have multiple connection points to different walls/wall points.But other than that very happy with the quality of this gate & would definitely recommend it! Installation went smoooth - we’ve put up multiple gates in our life. So if you haven’t done that it may be a bit confusing. Just read the directions. READ THE DIRECTIONSAlso have a stud finder on hand prior to installation
