After getting a CD player for my daughter, and realizing I had all sorts of sweet mix CDs that have laid dormant for far too long, I decided I wanted a CD player of my own.A couple of boxes I needed here - I wanted one that had more than one function (radio/bluetooth/etc.), ideally had its own speakers, and if it was rechargeable, that would be fantastic. This checked all of the boxes…but not in an amazing way.First, let’s talk about the multi-function. While this doesn’t have an FM tuner, it does have a Bluetooth receiver in it. And running off the battery, you can run the device for at least 16 hours connected and streaming via Bluetooth. Honestly, sometime after the 16 hour mark, I gave up and just recharged the battery. Not quite as impressive is the roughly 5 and a half hour run time for a CD. Again, this is just on the battery, though I did see mention of a 10 hour runtime. Fell a bit short there, which was a little unfortunate. Of course, you can connect it using AC power, which is probably where this shines. The speakers are serviceable, for lack of a better term. They’re not going to blow the doors off of your room, but do get reasonably loud. However, they aren’t great speakers. Not a ton of bass in here, the sound is just rather flat. The unit also comes with a remote control. Battery included in it, so you are able to use it right away. The remote does add additional functionality to the unit, so it definitely makes the process of using it a lot easier. The main draw for this is the nostalgic look, right down to the turntable arm that is the unit’s power switch. It’s a fun little thing to have and certainly a conversation piece. But if you are looking to downsize from an existing CD player/stereo, you probably want to look elsewhere. Didn’t even get into the price, which is … high. That said, it does fit a want for me, and delivers everything it promises (short of the CD runtime on battery), though not to a great degree.

Had to return it. Audio quality is bad. And it's even worse with headphones. Design is nice though. And the battery performs pretty good. Would've kept it for display purposes if it was less than 30 bucks, but for 80... no.

We've only had this player for a couple of months and it hasn't exactly seen heavy usage. But when I try to play CDs, the sound keeps "pausing" for a second or two before continuing. The frequency and duration of the pauses increase the longer the player is in use. This happens even when plugged in so it is unlikely a battery issue. It's a shame considering how nice the player looks, but I would recommend against puchasing this model.
