it eliminates reflections off of the glass/reflector in a light/scope. does what its supposed to do and it does fit the head of a surefire g2x snugly.

This is a nice little cap for for keeping dust and debris away from your hunting flashlights. It's basically the same thing as a flip up scope lens cap, just much smaller.I can confirm this fits the Feyachi and Dark beam weapon lights perfectly. The inner diameter is right around 30mm so should fit any similarly sized flashlight. It is slightly flexible and you might be able to stretch it over a slightly larger light, but I'd say 32mm would be the max.The cap snaps closed easily and securely. Some of these caps can be a bit of a pain to close, but this one works well.I do wish they offered this same exact cover with a transparent red or green filter in the cap. That would make these both great for protecting the lens as well as allow you do use a white light as a red or green hunting light. Other brands make those, but not in this specific size which would be ideal since all of my weapon lights are this style.
