Was packed well and T-ring fit my Nikon DSLR. Tried with my son’s cheap telescope that has a small eyepiece and it kinda worked. More my issue that it’s problem. The open sides can cause some issues.

Worked alright with my Vortex Razor spotting scope, but my Pixel 9 had a hard time staying secured in the cradle. I'm not sure if this is a "my phone is too heavy" kind of thing, or if I just got a bad phone cradle, but, I digress. I was eventually able to get the phone to stay in, and got the rig set up and I'd agree that alignment can be tricky (especially if you have a phone that has multiple camera modes, like macro, ultrawide, etc, and you're not sure which camera lens to line up with), but I was eventually able to get there and can use this to roughly calculate groups without having to walk downrange!

Clips on the iPhone 16 Pro Max without issues.Could have some more polished threads when screwing/adjusting the eyepiece (is a bit squeaky, which is not conducive to having quiet/silence when hunting).Finish overall is a nice black, time will tell on durability.Image is clear when attached to phone.Overall, no issues or complaints.

I've had the chance to test out this Eyepiece Camera Adapter, and it is quite a cool gadget. It allows you to mount your smartphone to a rifle scope, telescope or microscope to record or display what you normally have to squint and look at. Many cameras can be adapted to use the mount in order to emulate far more expensive gear. Once you dial in your settings, if you intend to use it regularly, I suggest dedicating the camera to it. If you use your phone, the this would not be viable, unless it is an old one. Since I home school my kids it has been valuable in teaching so I can record and display the materials. In other words, it has a lot of uses beyond that which it is marketed for.The adapter is made of durable aluminum, which feels sturdy and seems built to last. It's compatible with a wide range of eyepieces, fitting with an outer diameter of 33mm-46mm, and it works with most smartphones, such as my Samsung Note, within a width of 58mm-100mm, in addition to any box camera in this size. The setup was relatively easy, although aligning the camera with the scope's eyepiece took some patience to get right, which is why I recommended dedicating a device if you use it often. Once set up, I was very happy with the result and the screen was much easier to view for many, not to mention the recordings can be used over in the future, if for instructional purposes.Bottom Line: The Scope Camera Adapter is a budget friendly way to make scopes, telescopes and microscopes emulate much more expensive gear, not to mention the teaching options. It is a DIY project when veering away from the marketed purpose, but that is something I enjoy - making unitasker devices into something much more. I recommend it!

Warning! This device will not protect your DSLR camera's image sensor from dust, dirt and uncontrolled light sources. Do not use it out doors unless it is dead calm and you cover and rap the device with a black sun blocking, wind blocking drape cloth. The first of my images show the mounting ring as it faces the camera. You will see a bright ring around the center black disc. That disc is the eye piece of my 20 to 60x spotting scope. The bright white ring is uncontrolled airborne dirt and light leak that can get into the sensor area any time the camera is connected. This is the close in position. The second image has the spotting scope adjusted to the full extended position which really leaves your camera vulnerable to dirt and light. My opinion, It is not going to be used on any of the Nikon cameras I own. 0 stars if possible.
