This 6.4lb tippet is just right for trout fishing. It can be used for dry flies as well as wet flies and lures. I have been using Rio 6.4lb for years and it rarely lets me down.

Bought it is very fine and certainly does not frighten fish. However no longer punches it as it was continually breaking when flies were being taken on the surface and not at the knots.

I had a 5 pound bass on it this summer and it held. The material has pretty bad memory though and you have to cut the line after each knot

I like it. Strong. Easy to use. I make tippets quick and easy with this line. Ties good to the fly and other lines. Use it for trout and bass. Pretty happy

What I like about this Rio tippet is it's suppleness and strength. It's easy to work with in all conditions, and lays out gently and smoothly on your presentations.
