Your cart is empty.This is a premium dry fly leader casting dry flies or other small flies. It has a very soft presentation for your fly on the water due to the lack of memory. Moonlit Fly Fishing produces these leaders with a furl that is tighter to give you a better casting loop from your leader to your fly. They are constructed of the finest Gutermann Polyester thread from butt to tip end. To fish dries and float simply add your favorite float paste, or un-treat to fish subsurface. The tip end comes with a tip ring which allows for quick and easy transition of tippet. The tip rings are very small and light as to not pull your dry fly under the water. This leader outperforms the majority of furled leaders out there but if you want an even better leader you might checkout the PLATINUM Featherweight Furled Leader by Moonlit. My 3wt leader fell apart on the second cast. The winding broke at the tippet ring, the ring and tippet and fly were all gone, and the furled leader required tying off in order to use it. I eventually removed it completely and tied on a new leader, so that was money down the drain for one cast of a fly.I’ve been using furled leaders for about the past two years, and they are generally remarkable. This one, however, was a dud.

I have essentially made my 12 ft tenkara rod a euro nymphing rod with this. I have a sighter attached to the tippet ring then use my flourocarbon line after that. Works awesome.

I only used this one evening so far but I really like the way it casts. I feel like it lays out my cast right where I want it. I had good success sight casting to rises. It also floats nice and high. Hopefully that quality lasts! I've used Orvis braided leaders for years and I think I like this one better!I tested the connection between the leader and tippet ring and had no problem. I always test this connection when attaching new tippet. If it were to break (and I know it will at some point) I just tie the end into a perfection loop or tie on a new ring. I consider that to be normal maintenance!Definitely recommend!

I love it. It turns over the fly so well, I don't use anything else anymore... super soft on the water, no splash, fish don't mind it even with a 6 foot leader of 6X it works great. I don't fish 7X... it is for really small fish... This is great product, I hope it stays good for a season or two.
