Your cart is empty.These scrapers are used on bowls and platters to create smooth flowing curves. Made from M2 high speed steel and then properly hardened and tempered. They will keep a sharpened edge about six times longer than carbon steel and resist "blued" softening from overheating during grinding or from heavy turning. They come with a hard White Ash handle and solid brass ferrule. Handle is 12 inches long with the tool being 6 1/2 inches in length. Overall length is 18 1/2 inches.

I purchased this scraper and a larger one. Both perform well, I did need the sharpen both scrapers. Fit and finish are excellent. Good feel in your hand. I like Sorby products.

I bought a used set of Sorby tools after moving up from Harbor Freight. Night and day difference, but so is the price. Quality of the Sorby products are a solid 'mid-upper tier' product and I will continue to buy them. They hold a good edge and the handles are excellent.

Very good tool. Nice thick steel which makes it very steady while scrapping.I used it to finish the inside of an Ambrosia maple bowl.I recommend this tool.
