I tried to buy different underlayments off Amazon to see which one would be the best and I can comfortably say that this was the best. It’s a little weak and extremely easy to rip by mistake. But the thickness was good. I wish I actually bought more ahead of time

Wasn’t sure what was best underlayment , I’m no professional but this is much better than anything in big box store at better price . It’s really nice.

Liked the narrow adhesive strip which makes layering easy. Disliked how easy the material rips or punctures. Completely unsuitable for roofing because its impossible to securely attach it to roof underlayment without ripping holes with cap nails or staples. Therefore ip doesn't provide an intact moisture barrier.

This was really worth buying as it’s more expensive in stores. The quality is impressive and it was very easy to cut and use. Even the renovator was impressed and said it’s really good quality. I would buy it again and would recommend it. It came before the expected date!

We just laid 1100 square feet on LVP and used this as our underlayment. Only 2 rooms had cement floors after tearing out the carpet, the rest was floated over linoleum. According to both the package and the website, a vapor barrier was not required underneath. This underlayment was fairly easy to lay down. We just drug the length out and cut it at the wall with a box cutter. In areas where I had to piece pieces in we used underlayment tape to tape it together, but you can also use packaging tape for that. Keep a broom handy to keep it clean before you put flooring on top of it. At first, the floors had a little bit of a clicking sound as you walked, but after 2 days that went away as the floor settled in. Our floors are quiet and have a very soft feel to them when you walk on them. This underlayment did exactly what I wanted, it was perfect. Not to mention it was also less than half the price of what you would pay at the big box store. I ordered two rolls of 600 ft and had plenty left over.

As far as underlayment goes, this stuff is fantastic. It reduces sound/noise, it provides insulation and warmth, it provides a little bit of cushioning, it rolls out easy, it's easy to cut, it's easy to bind to previous pieces, it's got no better or worse tensile strength then any other underlayment I've used, it's lightweight, and it doesn't smell at all. This product beats or matches the properties of anything you'd buy anywhere else. Highly recommend if you're putting down LVP or any other free floating, interlocking floor.

Lets start off by saying all the negative whiners on here reviewing poorly, I don't know what the heck you all are doing buy you are not doing it right. I'm not a Pro, I'm an IT guy, laid several rooms of flooring before this Bought the Big famous Blue pads before on amazon, took a chance on this because it looked interesting. The only this is it rolls on what i would call backwards. Its all explained in instructions, feels like the factory might need to reverse their rolling. I prefer to unroll list most people drop the edge and kick the roll across the floor, this is a bit different process, but it wasn't bad, just need to be aware is all. I had no problems with tearing and flimsy as others are reporting, I walked on mine and crawled on floor with knee pads as well, no issues with tearing at all, all cut fine and seemed like high quality to me.Great pad, works well, no issue on install, think some others are negative type of reviewersWorth it all, shipping was good too

This Black Jack padding is no joke!!! I had tried a different brand, blue-colored 3mm padding and that stuff was a pain to install and it just felt cheap. The blue padding went down okay, but after I installed my engineered hardwood flooring over it, I did not like the sound at all. I used this Black Jack padding under the same engineered hardwood flooring in my downstairs area. Although it is only 2.5mm padding, I love the quality of feel to the touch and the quality I felt as I was installing it. When I walk on my new hardwood flooring, I love the sound!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!! It's relatively inexpensive and worth every penny. When I end up doing more flooring, I will use this product again.

I have now done 4 laminate flooring jobs thru out my home. This is the first time I have used this underlayment. It is much better than any others that I have used, providing a better and softer buffer for my Pergo XP laminate tile. It also is much easier to work with as it is less likely to move around and wrinkle than the more conventional products that I have used. I do recommend (as others have suggested) laying out the rows as you put down your flooring as this will certainly minimize the bunching up of the underlayment. Final result... A floor that feels much better supported and secured, yet still retains a soft, if ever so slight, cushion for my "old man" knees. If you can't find this product in your local store, pick it up on Amazon as it was well packaged to guard against damage and arrived in just about a week using the economy "free shipping" method. Trust me it is well worth the money and time.
