It's not a heavy-duty light stand, but robust and high-quality enough to perform well with a medium-sized softbox with strobe. Don't expect it to be super stable with larger rigs, but medium strobes are fine on this setup.

It is heavy duty, I give it that and the concept is great BUT the crank itself is GARBAGE. I keeps breaking on me. The way it's made is u have to PULL the crank out from it's resting position then lock it into flat horizontal place. Then u have to PULL it again and force it back cause it's HARD to get it back there and it doesn't always line up and it breaks itself cause it has cheap PLASTIC in between. I bought 2, used them both once and they both broke......got 2 replacements, 1 broke again after first use while the 2nd one I just LEFT it alone and not bothered to put it in the bag cause it won't fit in the bag if u dont FOLD the crank back. VERY Poorly made with cheap Plastic on the crank lever.
