The length was perfect for my skates. The only thing is a little more hardening or support on the lace ends would make the product really durable. Luckily, with the length I don't have to pull the lace ends out of the lace hole, but if I did, I can see them breaking down.

These waxed laces are awesome. I know they're designed for hockey, but I use them on ALL my inline skates now.*They're sturdy*Great grip that doesn't loosen up during skating.* Great color choices.I skate just about every day and I am not nice to my laces when I tie them. I pull REALLY hard. I now have these laces on 3 pairs of skates and none of them have snapped yet. And they haven't started to fray either. The first set I bought is only being replaced after months of abuse because I wanted a color change. But the best part is I can lace them at different tensions on different parts of my boot. I like it loose over the top of the foot and the calf, then really tight on the toe and shin. The laces stay where you put them. The only down side I have discovered is that these were annoying to initially put on, and they can be hard to lace up sometimes because the grip is so good on them. But that's what happens with all waxed laces.

I never used or heard or wax laces. I used these in my kids hockey skates. They tighten up and stay tight. Don't need a double knot. A little more difficult for kids to unlace themselves. Kids loved the colors. Would buy again.
