I have blackmagic design atem switcher and need minitor speaker. as you know it has no headphone jack or speaker.Other rackmount speaker is so expensive.I wanted just ‘cheap small rack mount speaker’. This is it.1ru size, simple, not so good quality sound, no rack mount kit, but cheap.

I Thought tis device was a 19" rack mount unit. Was extremely disappointed when I received it and found it was very small. I can't use it as built and want to return it for full. credit. As I suppose should be expected by Rolls and a product so small in stature, the unit arrived with an inward bent front panel where the screws attach the face to the unit, and sound quality I can only describe as lacking. The bend is not a result of shipping, just the flimsy metal and a lack of design/build quality. Suitable only for cases where you want to ensure audio is present, but certainly not for quality inspection. The form factor is appealing; I'd hoped to use them for some racks being built for various A/V troubleshooting in-house, but the sound coming out of the unit was too much to bear.The front panel having an 1/8" input was a real plus, I assume it's summed with the XLR and female RCA's on the rear, but didn't test. There are no switches anywhere, just a pushbutton for power on the front and a very small potentiometer for volume which is even more difficult once the 1/8" is populated.I also didn't see a way to remove the rack ear on either side. Being half rack width I had hoped to just use one ear and have the other half open for something else but the ear could get in the way.Not their best effort I hope.Good luck to anyone else in the same situation,
