This tool is perfect for splicing 7/64" and 1/8" Amsteel cordage for making hammock supplies. I have made an entire suspension system using this tool. It makes splicing and fabricating hollow core Dynema rope a breeze. Definitely worth the investment.

Works well but will not hold up to a heavy pulling load. If you need it to, look at their metallic D-splicer kit - much stronger construction.

Chi ha provato a impiombare o impalmare cime e scotte sa quanto possano essere faticosi e impegnativi alcuni passaggi.Questo strumento risolve molte di queste difficoltà. Io lo uso a integrazione del lavoro fatto con i tradizionali feeder (quelli ad ago cavo, per intenderci) ma per alcuni passaggi lo trovo molto funzionale e comodo.Unica pecca è la fragilità della parte terminale (il primo che ho acquistato mi si è rotto). A causa degli spessori molto esigui (per necessità operative) le asticelle possono storcersi sotto sforzo e rimanere leggermente incurvate. Suggerisco di non provare a raddrizzarle (come ho tentato di fare, provocando la rottura dell'anello terminale). Infatti, anche se si curvano mantengono la loro funzionalità e, se riuscite a sopportare l'inestetismo, potete continuare tranquillamente a lavorare. Se avessero dato questa informazione nelle istruzioni (inesistenti) non avrei dovuto ricomprarlo. Se inventi un nuovo strumento e lo vendi a questa cifra, almeno prenditi il disturbo di dare indicazioni sul suo uso. Questo è l'unico motivo per cui non mi sento di dare 5 stelle.
