I love this timer. I’ve used it mainly in my office, on my desktop as I’m working. I find it more convenient to use than my phone and old school dial timer; reminds me to bring the dogs inside, take a break from my desk, wearing my posture support brace – anything I want a reminder for.It came charged, but I did fully charge it before I started using it. I’ve turned it on and off over the last three days, used it at least three times per day and haven’t had to charge it yet. It did come with a USB C charger, but I just used one I constantly have plugged in for other devices as the length of the charging cord isn’t very long. The volume is just loud enough to serve its purpose, but I did notice I need to be somewhat close to the timer to hear it (could just be me)… It’s very sensitive, which is why I opted to turn it off probably more than I needed to. The slightest movement makes it beep and activate – not a big deal, but I could see draining the charge quicker. It has a nice feature that the timer can be stopped if needed by placing it timer side up – then it resumes when I put back to where I was using it. If I decide to use a different time, I just flip it, and it restarts with the new time.Beats using my phone and my old school dial timer (which I used frequently). The only downside is that you are limited to the intervals offered – 5 – 10 – 25 – 30 – 60 or the stopwatch. Works for my needs!

I wasn't expecting this to be as small as it is. It is actually something that was a pleasant surprise because it won't take up too much space on my desk. I intend to use this to remember to get away from my desk and move around more often. I tend to go into these hyper focused places while I am working, and it causes my legs to swell from inactivity for extended hours. This way, every 25 minutes I can stand, walk, stech, do a couple of exercises, get a glass of water, rest my brain, and tend to the cares and needs of my body.I almost didn't purchase this because I have a timer on my cell phone. I'm so glad I did because the bottom line is that I would never use the timer on my phone. This is on my desk, easy to grab, nothing to program. All I have to do is literally pick the object up and find the amount of time I am setting for my work/study/meditation session.Another great thing about this timer is that it can be set to a vibrate mode. I like this especially for meditation so I am not startled by an annoying alarm sound.

I ordered this Rotating Pomodoro Timer 5, 25, 10 30,60 Mins Preset Stopwatch, Desk Flip ProductivityTimer, ADHD Tool Hexagon, Vibration/Mute/Alarm, for Work, Study because we had so much success teaching my son with ADD to use one, that I want to get another one to keep downstairs. My teenager has ADD; he’s the textbook kid where the teacher is saying, “He could teach this class, why can’t he remember to turn in homework he’s already done?” He goes to LaGuardia, NYC’s “fame” school, and carries a full double load of academic classes (including APs) and studio classes for music. This adds up to a lot of homework. Fortunately, he attended a charter school for K-8 that taught him good academic practices, but he gets bogged down in long homework sessions. We got the advice to teach him to schedule work sessions and rest sessions; I read about the Pomodoro method, and planned breaks help him a lot! In fact, I want to try them, too. I don’t have ADD, but I have chronic health and pain issues, and limited mobility; I tend to get up in the morning and run full steam ahead until I collapse. Now I’m trying scheduled breaks; it’s helping, but I forget to take them without a timer alarm.I got this Pomodoro timer so I could keep it in our English basement; my son does his homework on our first floor in the dining room, but I spend a lot of time downstairs in the kitchen and in my office. Now I have my own timer and it’s helping me remember to plan breaks to rest. This timer is very easy to use. It’s small, about 2” x 2” x 2 1/2”. There’s a round screen on one end and numbers on each side. All you need to do is lie it on its side with the number facing up—do you want to work for 5, 10, 25, 30, 60 minutes? You can set it to notify you with an alarm, vibration, or mute mode, which flashes a light. To turn off the timer, flip the round screen up. To reset, flip the round screen down. It sounds more complicated than it is; once you have it in your hand, it all makes sense. The Pomodoro method focuses on 25 minute work blocks with 5 minute rests; after completing four work sessions, you get a longer break, maybe 30 minutes. This timer makes it easy to follow the method. This came with a charging cord (plugs into a USB charger, not included) and a small instruction guide. It charges easily and holds a charge for quite a while.I’m pleased to have my own timer; this is really helpful. My next task: convincing my husband (who also has ADD) to give one a try.

This little gizmo was recommended to our son for keeping him on track with certain tasks. The functionality of it could be replicated with a phone timer, sure, but this is for tasks where one doesn't want to have a phone around to minimize distractions. It's designed really nicely.... a hexagonal tube with different numbers on 5 faces and a picture of a clock on one face. One end has a digital display and the other end has a button and a USB-C port for charging its battery. It's very fun to use! As soon as its horizontal, whatever the number facing up (e.g., 5, 10, 20, etc) is displayed on the screen as 05 00 and it starts counting. Flipping it 90 degrees (i.e., setting it up on its end with the charging port) pauses the timer, whereas putting it down with the screen facing down resets it. When the timer gets to 0, it gently vibrates. The "clock" face acts as a time keeping tool, since it starts counting up from 00 00 unti it's stopped. The size is small (compare it to a standard size pen) and it's very portable. It already started having an effect on our son's adherence to time sensitive tasks. Highly recommended!

Simple and effective. I've been wanting one of these timers for awhile but couldn't decide which one. This one is small and simple, but works great! I feel like for me, some of the others are trying to do too much. I like how it shows the count down on the side.

The printed digits on the outside are huge. The digits on the display are too small, for me, hard to see.
