I like these timers a lot as they have an on/off switch and are very simple to operate. Although mine did not come with a battery, getting to the battery compartment was very easy.

I have my students use these at school to determine how long they must sit out from free play. The timers work well, some of them don't stick as well as I had hoped with the magnets but they do the job.
