I've had a pair of these on my boat for the last 4 years, and they've been flawless. The boat stays in the water so the pumps have to work and these have been great. The only reason I'm replacing one of them is the float switch failed on and one overheated. It still runs, but I'm not taking any chances because it got very hot. Highly recommend. The float switches are another story....

The Rule pumps are usually the best. I’ve been having issues with the little Rukes; 360.

I always use Rule pumps on my boat because I trust them. They cost more than most others, but I pay the price as I know I can trust the pump will work when it needs to. I bought this one for the shower sump on my boat. It will run daily and I needed a pump that was durable for daily use. I gave it four stars instead of five due to the high cost of the pump.

Unit is small with an approximate 1" outlet hose fitting. Both unit and outlet are smaller than the larger 3000GPH pumps. My local Hardware stores do not carry adapters for easy use with PVC piping. I had to be creative with two types of PVC adapter, cut radial slits in them, force together and secure with hose clamps. A local marine store like West Marine is not available in my area. The leads are standard Rule 28" I think. If you need longer leads get the UL rated pump with 6' leads (twice the price). You need a marine float switch. 10 Amp should be good. I'm using a 15 or 20 AMP float switch from old install.Pump runs quietly and does its job. 2000GPH rating is at zero feet. I think a 10' lift is also rated at lower volume.

Was easy to install and works as promised. Have bought Rule products previously and will do again. Don't buy the cheap versions they last about 2 weeks.

A great pump. It easily fitted the pump base/strainer of the pump it replaced and the pipe work was easy. A great buy.

A major safety upgrade for my ocean going boat. It originally came with 2 1250gpm pumps, that were off brand and pretty small in size. One failed, and I decided to replace them both. I could not locate the exact same pumps, so I looked to upgrade. If 1250 is good, then 2000 is better, right? Now I have 4000gpm pumping instead of 2500.These arrived, and they were pretty much bigger than my originals. They feel MUCH beefier too. I had to extend a bracket in the bilge area to accommodate the new pump and auto switch I added, but that was fairly easy. On the one side that did NOT have the auto switch, all I had to do was re-drill the holes. Wiring was the same as my originals, so in short time I have these up and running. Putting in the drain plug, I flooded my bilge with a garden hose and turned them on. Water SHOT out of both lines with gusto... much faster, with more force, and farther out, than with my originals. It emptied my bilge much MUCH faster than before. Upgrading the GPM was a good choice. Now the only thing that remains is their life expectancy. With a brand name, I expect many years of good service - if they fail anytime, I will come back and edit my review to reflect that. But for now, I am 100% satisfied.
