In general, it seems it’s a good idea to get twice as much as the container says to get if you want the really nice finish. East to apply, but hard to tell where you’ve applied it!

get everything cleared out of garage, read instructions and scour garage floor. if done right, its a rock hard product!!too easy to overdue the flakes, so be judicious when applying. Also, you may have enough for second coat, wait for final coat to apply colour flakes. you can do it

Don't coat your floor without doing the clear. one extra step a little extra money, way better result.

Great result using this as top coat over Rocksolid gray with flakes. Finished surface is hard and durable.

After 11 months the garage floor still looks great and we are paid many compliments. Where the sun hits the most it has yellowed which we knew would happen and this was the last applied so it is the heaviest at that point. I would not apply the base coat without using this top clear coat as it makes all the difference.

It is an nice product and the reason I am giving it 3 stars is because the product says that you can have a 2.5 car garage with a single box and that is not true.Is you really want a nice finish floor, make sure you buy 2 of this at least. Otherwise you will have a really thin layer of exposy and sometimes it won't be enough to cover the hole floor.

This product is very expensive, doesn't really do a good job at what it's supposed to do, and frankly if you put the anti skid/slip material into it, it kinda ruins the effect of the floor treatment below it. I purchased this product to provide an extra layer of protection over my Rustoleum RockSolid Metallic floor coating I had just laid down. After the expense, frustration and time spent with that, I wanted to make sure I was taking care of it. With this clear coat, it was supposed to provide that extra layer of protection. Also it included an optional anti skid/slip treatment since the floor could get very slick if you brought in a vehicle from the snow or rain. This was also applied at the "sweet spot" relayed to me from Rustoleum for temperature and humidity.First, this product drastically nullified the effect of the metallic flooring below. Before application it had a deep glassy effect with tons of depth, color variation, swirls and a beautiful blend of marbling and copper metal. After application it dulled that back at least 75%, now it looks like an orange uneven muddy mess, it's more than kinda ugly (before and after photos attached). Second, I used a high end aftermarket roller for application meeting the standards listed in the product guide, this product still destroyed the roller about 2/3 through application leaving fibers all over floor surface. Third, I mixed this thoroughly, evenly and constantly throughout application and there are still a number of spots that are like glass with no anti slip material, some that over clumped with it and patches all over that are sort of even. Fourth, with the anti slip material in, the self leveling feature is basically non existent, it just set and dried. Lastly, it cured a solid week with no vehicle traffic or anything on it, and it's been curing almost 7 weeks overall. It scratches at the slightest breeze despite supposedly being rock hard ultra protection. A basic wheeled plastic garbage can has scuffed, scraped and scratched all over it. And this past weekend, a shop vac was on the floor to vacuum car floor mats, it moved slightly and left scratches all over (photo attached).I know they do make good garage floor products like the basic blue and grey stuff with the flecks in it, but this metallic and clear coat stuff is a joke. It's really expensive, miserable to apply and doesn't hold up against even light basic use. I can't imagine doing heavy mechanic work in this space and how much damage it would do to the floor. I spent a ton of time communicating directly with Rustoleum on applying this and the metallic coating under it, and it's still a mess. It's terrible.

The product works as intended but double check to make sure your A and B sides of the pouch are still intact and feel around for hardness. It felt like the seal had accidentally broken on the first bag we used and there were some hard chunks of epoxy that got mixed in with the fresh stuff. It ended up working as intended though. We used a paint roller from a hardware store to apply this stuff. We did not use the anti slip coating as we wanted a really smooth glossy surface. We ended up having to buy SIX (6) total boxes to cover our entire basement floor. It took 2 boxes just to apply 1 coat across the entire area. So altogether we had 3 coats total but we didn't do 3 separate applications of it, we did 1 first, just to see how it would look. Decided it was no where near enough. Lots of air bubbles and lumps. Ordered 4 more kits and mixed them one the same day one at a time after each previous kit was used up. Coverage is more even now but still not a perfect finish. But it's 85% the way I imagined it to look so I'm okay with not spending another $300 to coat the floor again. Basically the product is good and works as intended but you will need at least double what the package indicates! So for a 2.5 car garage or a decent sized basement you will need at least 6 boxes just to get a uniform thickness. The floor does show scuff marks and scratches but a floor wax can be used to buff it out.
