Someone recommended that for a beautiful glossy finish this is perfect. It’s not. It is thicker than regular polyurethane but it’s a nightmare to work with and my table is still a mess because of it!

When I work on a project, I want the best. I'm not rich, but not stupid. I use high quality wood, glue, sandpaper, steel wool. I use the best 100% pure tung oil. pure 100% real turpentine and orange oil. a lot of times the finish costs more than all other materials combined, so my final seal is with the best urethane there is, it costs a little more but in the long run it's worth it, 9241 urethane is without question the best there is. my grandfather was an apprenticed cabinet maker from Germany, the one time I tried to be cheap and buy another brand, he caught me scrapping the finish off and laughed at me, then he added up the cost of wasted materials, I learned my lesson. thanks for the best.

First make sure you do tin coats because any thicker spots will turn yellow I did 4 light coats on a table for outside it's been rained on sun beating down on it no problem again thick coat or thick spots will be yellow

Perfect for Outside Wood... I refinished my Canoe Seats ... Rain & Heat 110 Deg... Has no effect on the finish. I put 3 Coats on it.. First time Users... Need to keep area clean of bugs.. They will land on it and get stuck... Drying time varies depending on how thick ...

Finally refinished an oak porch swing that had been painted and repainted by previous owners. The Varathane Spar Urethane was the easiest stage of that process, and left the protective high gloss finish I wanted. I applied 4 coats with about 10 hours drying time in between, while it would dry to the touch within a couple hours. Lays flat and thick. Highest recommendation for exterior woodwork.

Worked well for my table top. I needed the oil based mainly, because it will be outdoors. Time will tell more how good it lasts. Turn out looking excellent, great shine. Now if they made it crystal clear instead of the warn, it would be perfect.
