The RYC Automotive Air Conditioning Compressor FG664 is a perfect replacement for my Nissan Altima 2.5L 2009. My AC wasn’t cooling properly, and after installing this compressor, it’s working like new again. The fitment was precise, and the compressor feels solid and well-built. My mechanic had no issues with the installation, and it has been running smoothly ever since. It’s a cost-effective alternative to OEM parts without compromising quality or performance. Packaging was excellent, keeping the compressor secure during transit, and it arrived on time. Highly recommend this for anyone needing a reliable AC compressor replacement!

Quiet and cold. It's only been a few days but it's working great so far. (until the clutch crapped out)

Ordered this compressor in June and finally got around to installing it in September. I've always done most of my own car repairs and am very mechanically inclined. I replaced the dryer, pulled a vacuum on the system overnight, and filled to exact OEM specifications using my HVAC manifold. In other words, I did everything correctly. I know what I'm doing - and you'll see why this is important shortly.Within a day or two of installing, I heard squeaking. I initially assumed this was due to a worn serpentine belt so I replaced that (not fun after having just swapped the compressor two days before). After the belt was replaced the squeaking actually got worse, and then it went away. I thought "Cool, maybe it just needed to break in a little or something."Dead wrong. A day or two after that, I noticed a terrible rattling sound as soon as the car was started. I pressed the A/C button on the dash to turn the compressor off and bingo - the rattling stopped. Tried several more times over the next few days and same deal. This compressor is junk and I know it will fail soon if I keep using it.One of the reasons I trusted the re-manufactured part is that they offered a 6-month warranty. I guess I should have researched it more thoroughly first, because only once you go to their actual website does it explain that you only qualify for the warranty if you have the part installed by a professional mechanic or A/C specialist. No one buying the compressor themselves is having it installed by a professional shop - that's the whole reason you buy auto parts instead of just having the mechanic order it for you! Literally makes no sense - auto shops get better deals on parts than consumers do. The only reason you would buy this product is to save money on labor (and ensure it gets done right) by doing it yourself! The warranty is a joke, the company should be ashamed of themselves, and (as you can tell by other reviews) this compressor is garbage. I made the mistake of assuming that all of the bad reviews were due to user error. Don't fall into the same trap I did. Just buy either an OEM compressor or an aftermarket one from a company that is actually respectable.
