Ordered to repair an attic fan. Mounted it on the side of the fan and wired it. Works well. Edges of knock out holes for wires are very sharp. You need to use cable insulators, to protect wires.

It threw me at first when it read "turn off temp". It seems the opposite of what you want. But it is really the same thing. The set temp is when the fan transistions from off to on or on to off. It depends on if the temp is rising or falling. I have it running a 24" exhaust fan high up in the rafters of my shop building.

I'm not sure if the thermostat is defective. The fan does not stop at all. I installed it in my garage using this thermostat and it doesn't turn off the fan.

I replaced my original attic fan thermostat with this. The original was worn out and was causing the fan to run 24/7 no matter the temperature. This new item works great and has an easy to use dial for setting the temperature for the van to turn on. Simple wiring instructions on the unit.

It turns the fan off as the temperature goes higher. You want the fan to come on as the temperature rises. If you set it on 90* it will turn off when the temperature reaches 90*. You want to remove heat not leave it in the attic.
