Pros: Best eraser I’ve ever used. It really does make a huge difference. Good size, very durable and they last a long time. I can’t live without it especially when taking physics and organic chemistry exams, which require A LOT of writing.Cons: They create a lot more pilling than a regular eraser.

This eraser is really good! It’s super soft and doesn’t need to be applied aggressively on the paper to erase. Removes marks so smoothly, I’d forget I’ve written anything at all!

I like these erasers, they work well. I like that they feel soft when you’re erasing.

It’s a really good eraser, however it produces quite a bit of dust. The value proposition is also not great, 6x the price isn’t worth 1.5-2x the erasing and .7x the durability.

These erasers are like magic wands. Can really remove almost everything written on paper with pencil. Son loves them and they last forever. Better than the eraser that comes on your number 2 pencil by far.

I write and draw with mechanical pencils, a lot. Using the tiny eraser on the back is annoying so I wanted some standalone erasers. I tried several including the Pentel white eraser, which worked very well. I read numerous reviews and tried these out. WONDERFUL! It erases so thoroughly and quickly that I can’t tell I ever wrote there. And, it doesn’t wear out quickly, either. Works well on paper or wood.

For preface, I'm a broke college student who took a chance on this. 100% worth it. I love taking detailed notes and often use colored lead with my mechanical pencils, as it helps make my notes easier to use for me. The downside is the most erasers I tried could not properly erase these leads, until this guy came into my life. Fully erases the entire thing, only the dent the lead left in the paper is left.On top of that the eraser breaks up in chunks when using it. None of that particle stuff. This causes the only "downside" I can see in this product, which is that sometimes these chunks can erase other parts of the page. However I still rate it 5 stars, as this occurrence rarely happens and I don’t really know how you can prevent that. A manufacturer would have to choose between the eraser creating particles or chunks, and I would much rather have chunks. It really speaks volumes of the eraser's erasing ability also.

I use it daily at work. Erases graphite pencil with easy. Not working well for color pencils, but I am not sure if any other erasers do.

Struggles with colors but it doesn't damage the paper

I got a nice mechanical pencil from the holidays, but the eraser is tiny and refills for it are way too expensive. So, I have been using whatever erasers were lying around. The images attached to this review show the difference between 2 erasers I've used in the past month and the SumoGrip (picture 1). Of course, I tried to make the pencil marks as similar as possible and with as similar force as possible. As you can see from the comparison between the pencil eraser and the SumoGrip (picture 2 and 3), not only does the SumoGrip erase much better, but it does so in way less "swipes". As for comparison between the regular block eraser and the SumoGrip (picture 4 and 5), the difference is a bit less noticeable. However, after the same amount of "swipes," it's clear that the SumoGrip does in fact do a better job at getting rid of the evidence. Other than that, there's really nothing else that sticks out other than the black colour of the eraser, and really, why would there be? It's an amazing eraser that does very well at what it's made to do.

The SumoGrip Black Eraser is truly a unique gem among erasers. Its black color sets it apart from the crowd, but what really makes it stand out is its remarkable combination of being slightly harder in texture than a typical eraser while requiring minimal pressure to erase pencil writings. It's like having a powerful yet gentle eraser at your fingertips!I was initially drawn to the sleek black design of the SumoGrip, and I must say, it looks even better in person than in the product images. But beyond its stylish appearance, this eraser packs a punch when it comes to performance. The slightly harder texture gives it a sturdy feel, allowing for more control and precision during erasing.Despite its firmness, the SumoGrip glides effortlessly over paper, making pencil markings vanish with incredible ease. I was pleasantly surprised by how little pressure is needed to erase even the darkest pencil lines. It's a game-changer, especially for those who have struggled with erasers that smudge or tear the paper. The SumoGrip's erasing capability is nothing short of impressive. It leaves behind a clean, smooth surface, and I haven't experienced any smudging or ghosting after using it. It's like the pencil marks were never there in the first place! One of the key advantages of this eraser is its longevity. Due to the harder texture, it wears down at a slower pace compared to softer erasers, so you get more use out of it before needing a replacement. It's an economical choice for both students and professionals alike. The comfort and ease of use are unparalleled. I find myself reaching for the SumoGrip even for the smallest corrections, as it's a joy to work with. It's perfect for detailed work, sketching, and any task that demands precision erasing. In summary, the SumoGrip Black Eraser is a real winner in my book. Its unique black color adds a touch of sophistication, and its slightly harder texture paired with its effortless erasing ability make it a must-have tool for any pencil user. Whether you're an artist, student, or office worker, the SumoGrip will undoubtedly elevate your erasing experience. I highly recommend giving it a try – you won't be disappointed!
