I used this to bore 4 holes in 6" concrete to set steel poles. We kept the water pouring to it and it made quick work of the job. I didn't notice any cutting speed difference from hole one to hole four. I suspect it will be a reasonably long lasting bit.I found no negatives to this tool. - Highly Recommended.

On delivery, I laughed at the size of this 4.25" Sali Wet Diamond Core Drill bit. I was asked to find/obtain a 4.0-4.5" one to have my ceramic tile removed in a large room. I found this, ordered it, and Oh My!! it certainly took me by surprise. 4.25" does not seem like a lot given standard/everyday measurements visually. But, all-in-all, I now understand the reasoning behind needing this drill bit. It has certainly cut a lot of time off in my tile removal after days of chipping away the old. This Sali unit made removing the tile seem like filing nails...smooth and quick. What a blessing and true time saver. AND, it still looks almost as new as when it arrived. Now I have a flush floor to redo and a still amost new drill bit. I feel this is the best buy of year for any contractor or home improvement DIY'er for the tougher jobs. Highly recommend Sali Wet Diamond Core Drill Bits.

The drill bit looks really good but it has a design flaw. If you are planning on using the supplied adapters that come with it, they are too short. Because of the hole in the end of the bit is too deep to reach the threads. The adapter only threads onto 1 thread. I plan on cutting about an 1/2" of the end of the bit to bottom out the threads. I will post an update if it works.

This diamond core drill bit is a solid choice for anyone needing to drill through concrete or masonry with precision. I used it on a wet drill setup and it performed well. It was cutting cleanly and efficiently through thick concrete walls and floors. The diamond segments are durable and seem to hold up well, even with heavy use. I was also impressed with how smooth the drilling process was with minimal vibration compared to other bits I’ve used.On the downside, the bit does show slight wear after some extended use, which is expected but worth noting if you’re planning on using it for multiple heavy-duty projects. It also tends to slow down a little when working on materials with embedded rebar, though it eventually gets through. The price is fair for the quality you get, and it’s a great option for professionals or serious DIYers. Overall, this is a reliable and effective drill bit that I would definitely recommend for wet drilling applications.

We got this for one purpose, and one purpose only!We have a deep rural well. Very deep–as into the Madison aquifer.Our pump is at least 30 years old and is beginning to fail. Our current psi is around 30, tops, (normal is 45 psi to 80 psi) We are taking care of it as a DIY project. When we change out the pump, it’s going to require taking down an enclosure fence, and a team of strong friends to help pull the old pump. The actual well components are then down in a six foot deep vault—necessary because our winter temperatures can reach 40 below zero. If you’re reading “a lot of work” you’ve got that right. We figured if we are going to go to all this work, we might as well bring the well into the 21st century by changing out all the electrical and electronics. We intend to control and monitor the pump with WiFi accessible Arduino using LAN. This requires an antenna due to the depth of the electronics (six feet into the vault) and the distance of the well from our house (over 1000 feet) In order to install the antenna, we have to drill through the top of the cement vault. Hence this drill bit. We are going to have to get an adapter to use with our drill, but otherwise we are set to go.I don’t foresee any issues as it is a solid, tough drill, well constructed, and the cutting edges are extremely sharp. AND I suspect that we will find more uses for it after this project. I’ll come back and update about this project at some point in the future.
