Their wide range of available tests have all been designed to detect the smallest traces of certain elements, without interference from other chemicals within the water. Simply put, these are the best test kits you can buy- hands down. The sharp, contrasting color changes make results easy to read so there's no second guessing. Trust your aquarium to Salifert. Detects small changes in carbonate hardness which can affect pH and the growth of both fish and coral. Freshwater and saltwater.

Many user have had the same problem that I have had with the syringe numbers fading. To prevent the fading place transparent tape on the syringe.

Everything inside is OK, but the box is shredded! Not sure why Amazon can't ship these out without damaging them???? Other than that, a GREAT test!

Alkalinity is one of (if not the most) important parameters to keep in check within a reef tank. Don't mess around with the lives of your animals, get a test kit you can rely on. I used to use the API test kits, but now will use Salifert exclusively. These kits are great, they're all really straightforward in operation and reading. From the moment you start testing, you can tell there is quality to this kit

Salifert had issues in the past, which they addressed. The Salifert tests are now top of the market for ease of use, accuracy, and speed. They also contain a vial of calibration fluid which will enable you to check your kit if you feel the need. As with all test kits, check the expiration date. Use this in combination with the magnesium and calcim test kits. If these three readings are held in recommended balance, the water chemistry will stay proper for marine fish and corals.
