One of the stands won't stay raised. No matter what height I set, it slides down to the bottom. And while the other one is more stable, all I have to do is put a little pressure on the speaker and it will slide down. The locking mechanism for maintaining the height adjustment is terrible. I tried to call the Sanus customer support number, but it went straight to hold music. No one ever answered so that was the tipping point for deciding to return to Amazon. Disappointing because I have other Sanus home theater products and they all work great.

These stands are definitely not going to tip over or get bumped out of position. They're heavy, with a base big enough to provide good stability. Assembly involved placing the appropriate feet on the base, running the cord up through the base and the track in the post, then attaching the base to the post, a plate to the top of the post, and a plate to the bottom of the speaker. This is all done with just a few screws. The speaker then slides onto the plate on the stand and the two plates are screwed together with one screw. If you have the need to move your speaker to other rooms without the stand, you could easily leave this screw out to make it easier to take it off the stand. It felt very stable before I put it in. It would have been helpful to have another pair of hands to hold the post in place for 30 seconds while I attached the base. The base has to be on its side for this step and it's heavy enough that it was quite tricky to balance it while getting the post in and holding everything in place to put the screws in. After everything is assembled and plugged in, you have the option of inserting rubber thingies in the track to keep the cord neat and tidy. Keep in mind that the higher you set these, the more cord is going to be devoted to running up the post rather than going to your outlet, so you may need an extension cord depending on your outlet location.

I don't know what the difference is between these and the official ones and I cant see them being almost twice as good as the difference in price would suggest But Im happy with these ones easy to put together first one took around 10 mins to do instructions fairly straight forward and precise only tool needed is a screwdriver second stand didn't take much more then a couple of minutes to put together they do not feel cheap and seem very sturdy and very easy to adjust height with no tools needed Very happy with these and would buy again

These adjustable speaker stands are designed specifically for the Sonos EAR 100 speakers, they are well constructed, metal using very little plastic, and were easy to assemble with just a screwdriver. The instructions were easy to follow, and the different screws and items necessary for assembly were well packaged in this blue pocketed plastic with the description of each packet, which made installation a breeze. I would recommend the stands.
