This is a nice speaker stand. I am using it for rear surround speakers and it is perfect for this application. It was easy to assemble and it holds bookshelf speakers securely. My only concern is that it is difficult to add sand to dampen the stand’s resonance (which I would recommend) through the small holes at the top of the tubes. It can be done but larger holes would have made that process easier. It does not hide wires. Otherwise it is a nice, sturdy, attractive stand.

I researched stands for a couple of weeks prior to purchasing these. Like others have said, "instructions have a lot to be desired". The bottom mounts that screw to the base are awkward. There's actually 2 different shapes that are not really identified in the instructions. It took a while to discover that. I hoped the wire concealing system would be a lot better. It's basically 2 hoops top and bottom. You'll probably end up taping the wire to the back post. Once assembled, they are extremely stable, heavy and look good.

Ultimately they do the job, look nice and feel very sturdy. Having bought a Sanus tv wall mount with maybe the best instructions ever, this was a bit of a let down. Assembly isn't difficult per se, but the instructions are so poor that it took way longer them it should have. All parts were included and everything fit together once figured out. Good luck filling them with sand... I skipped that completely. They're heavy enough anyway and have enough dampening where it's not really needed IMHO.

There is no way to conceal your wires. Product description states there is a "concealed wire path". I assumed this meant that the speaker wire was guided up one of the pillars or there was a pathway along the outside of one the pillars. However, there is nothing of the sort. There is a thin piece of plastic with a hole in it that sits underneath the top plate (see manual part "m") that you could feed a wire through but this does nothing to conceal the wire at the base or as it goes up the stand towards the speaker on the top plate. I'm pretty annoyed as the description is very misleading. On the Sanus website, the product page goes even further stating "Conceal unsightly cables" as a feature. For speaker stands that are this expensive, they should have a built-in solution for hiding your wire. Now I'm forced to come up with creative solutions to hide the wire which is going to cost me more time and money.

Excellent value for money but assembly instructions are vague and too many screws look the same.

Nicely built and sturdy. Had ordered the Sanus basic series from another retailer and found the quality to be much lower and the materials a bit lightweight and flimsy. Returned them because of the quality and also parts missing fro the box. On these stands my speakers seem to have a bit more detail and a bigger soundstage. Look good too. Using Blu-Tack to keep the speakers (Wharfdale Diamond 220) nice and stable.Filled these with sand and that seem to dampen vibration and made them sturdier. Here is my technique that made it easy:-Get finely ground (sandbox) sand. The stuff for concrete mixing has a lot more pebbles. Not expensive and available at my chain home improvement store.-Build the stands except for the top plate.-Use the cardboard tube from a toilet paper roll which fits perfectly on top.-Put the stand in a container (plastic box worked) to catch your spills. Do it outside if possible.-Fill the tube about 2/3 with sand and then I used a thin bamboo skewer to push the sand when it got stuck so it would flow through the 4 holes continuously. Keep refilling.-4 columns to fill so plan for 30' or so.These things will last longer than I will. Happy listening!

These are great stands. The directions are lame and it would be useful for them to have an internal wire channel, but the are exactly what I wanted. Heavy and solid stands with several mounting options. They took about 30+ mins to assemble (I am tech savy) so just be patient and take your time as there are several specialty parts for the feet. These can be filled with shot or BBS or something to make them even heavier. I was also able to mount the speaker solidly to the base with a single screw. I bought these so my daughter would not be able to yank or knock them down (she's 1.5 years old), probably work great for pets too if you screw mount the speaker to the base, or maybe use 3M control tape strips which are removable when needed.Anyway... Highly recommend... Probably the best out there for the price, the are big but not too massive and clunky looking. Finish is great (textured blackish powder coat). Used with Klipsch RB 41's, but could easily mount larger 51's or speakers up to 25 lbs. Although if going heavier than 15 lbs I would recommended filling the base tubes with shot to weigh them down more. The will not move without great effort. Carpet spikes and rubber mounts included.
