So I've had some good luck with the Fleor pickups which are a cheaper option as well. I had high hopes for these and they're not terrible but if you're looking for a quality sound coming from a guitar regardless of your price range... you want to get the most for your money and I'm not sure that you're doing it with these. I put my volt meter on them mine rang out at 15.93 ohms so they are hot but the tone character of them is just a little off to me it doesn't sound very good to me. I tried it on high gain, compressed all the different settings that I know of and things that I use and I couldn't really get a tone that I would be happy with. I have a very similar guitar with tone Zone in the bridge and a paf 25th anniversary in the neck and the qualities of the two are very far apart. I'd say 20 bucks which is 1/5 of what it would cost for one of the dimarzio's so if you're not looking for anything but just a practice Throwdown guitar that you're not going to play anywhere or record live with or anything like that it's fine. But if you're going to put down some tracks play a live situation or be a little more nuanced I would go for something different. Especially if you want a solid metal tone. No I will add that the possibility is that I got something or set a pickups that was not quality controlled very well and they just didn't sound very good and it's very likely with some of these smaller companies or some of these cheaper companies that are pushing out these cheaper pickups but I can just tell you what I experienced.

put these in a knockoff les paul. really good sound. 15.4 (k ohm) in the bridge and 7.77 (k ohm) in the neck. no noise, very responsive for rock/metal/clean.

At $20 it's a good deal, but for the deal price they had at $10, it was a no brainer.I replaced them with the stock pickups in my ibanez. i really liked the character of the sound that those had, but they were too noisy. The Saphue pickups are pretty even sounding. Clear lows without being muddy, the highs are very tame, not shrill or icy at all and the biggest surprise for me was the note definition and clarity when you play chords with distortion.I give it 5 stars mainly for the value. I feel like It's better than "you get what you pay for"It may sound more like studio musician than rock god, but for the price I had low expectations and they ended up being better than I thought they would.

I just noticed red color is no longer in stock. The ones I got were wax potted . See pics for Resistance values. This was a $60 cheapo I rebuilt (needed a lot-neck was a log, now reshaped). Pickups sound quite good, and for the price I paid they are excellent.

Fait le travail mais il faut pas s'attendre au son d'un micro de qualité.

They sound pretty good! Won't compare them with SD or other high end pickups, they remind me of the stock Jackson pickups.I'm satisfied with them for the price.

Bought a set based on reviews for a new electric guitar I was building. I liked the fact they came with a wiring diagram and in a box with foam like more expensive pickups. Was not expecting anything to be great or bad. Checked resistance and they were as advertised, neck around 7.47 bridge 14.24. Construction seamed to be done well with tight fittings and no major scratches on the bodies. Wires were easily distinguishable and long enough to do the wiring. After finishing the guitar doing its set up and then playing it I was extremely impressed with the tone, and definition between each of the guitar strings. I have a similiar guitar I built with Seymour Duncan Humbuckers and these definitely hold their own against the Duncan's which were 8 plus times their price. Even with coil splits the pickups still have a good tone and volume. Had been using Fleor almost exclusively for guitar builds I will definitely use more of these. Get a set and be amazed.

I took a chance and got these orange humbuckers. I’ve previously used the Saphue Rail/Hexbucker pups which sounded really good so I wanted to take a shot on these ceramic orange pups.Pretty simple install. Came with a helpful color guide for each wire. They are definitely wax potted as Saphue claims- found wax in the screw holes. The lead wires are nice and long compared to the short wires on SDuncans. These pickups sound excellent especially when considering the low price. The specs and power are as advertised as mentioned in other reviews. These pups are actually very quiet which is surprising with no background hiss or noise. I installed in an LP copy that I also re-wired and swapped pots/switch/jack/capacitor. I’m very impressed with these hot pups. Neck pup is clear and warm but also is quite hot- sounds excellent on my OD channel or thru one of my many distortion pedals. Bridge pup very hot yet very clear and just shines on OD/Distortion- screams like a banshee! I just purchased a red set and a green set for other guitars in my collection. All in all I’m extremely pleased with my purchase and still quite shocked with the great quality of these pickups.Update: installed green ones on an IYV Jackson Dinky type copy. Same quality as the orange ones in my LP. Red set waiting for a home.

Replaced humbuckers in my OLP MM1 - old ones trashed and wiring bad. Ordered a new harness and then these pickups. Came packaged very securely and better than some high end pickups. Installed in minutes and sound was awesome! Had to trim pickup mounts to fit - the guitar has pickups mounted to the body no trim rings. Cheaper version of a music man Edward Van Halen guitar. Anyway the pickups were a great replacement- look good sound good. Not real high output but have enough bite and midrange to make me glad I didn’t order a high priced set.
