Excellent pan for all cooking needs. Big enough for a large sauce. Excellent non stick surface that seems to minimize harmful chemicals. My wife says it is the best pan she has ever had. Not cheap!

Just received the pan, and followed the directions to assemble the lid.I caution everyone. Be VERY careful handling the small plastic bag of parts for the lid. There is a round metal backer that goes on side of the lid opposite to the knob. The round metal backer is clearly stamped sheet metal.Nothing was done to dull the edge, and it is as sharp as a razor blade. As I was opening the small plastic bag, and it sliced a 1/2 cut DOWN TO THE BONE on the back of my finger.I actually felt the metal drag across the bone in my knuckle, and blood immediately went everywhere. This is day 3 after the incident. The cut is still opening up, and bleeding from time to time.In my opinion, this is clearly an irresponsible manufacturer that has very little concern for the customer.Since the assembly process is passed to the consumer to maximize profits for the manufacturer, then it should be reasonable the parts are safe to handle.I don't care how good the quality of this pan is supposed to be, or what other reviews say.At the VERY LEAST it should be safe to handle.NOT RECOMMENDED!UPDATE: 25Apr21Here's the pathetic self serving response from the manufacturer, without any concern for the customer."Thanks for reaching out to us regarding this matter. We are sorry to learn that you cut yourself. If you feel comfortable, please send photos, if you have them. I would like to include the photos as part of the communication that I will share with our Executive Leadership team for their consideration. "

If you want a great nonstick pan without the Teflon chemicals, this one is the way to go -- durable and easy-to-clean. Make sure to wash it by hand to extend its life. Scanpan states a lifetime warranty; however, I used this pan every day, and take meticulous care of it, and it will only last three years and you'll have to buy a new one. Still, it is the best alternative to everything else I've tried.

Leider, leider wahnsinnig teuer.

I've been choosing for a while between different brands and this pan is the winner. Free from nasty materials and works fine. Will update review if something goes differently. Have had it now for over 2 months.

It is well worth the money. The pan heats more evenly than any pan I have ever used, such as all clad william sonoma and calphalon. It cleans so easily and is a nice weight that I can pick up with one hand. I highly recommend.

Most amazing pan ever. Like cast iron that sears, browns, and cleans up easily. Not for induction. I've been on the lookout for the perfect frying pan for years, and have collected clad pans, stainless, cast iron, stamped iron, and good noon stick. I especially like the curve and depth of the edge, and the absence of rivets. Not too heavy. Cleans up well. Best bacon pan I've ever used. Great for fish too. And pancakes. Aw, now I'm hungry.

A good pan that is easy to clean...no rivets on the cooking surface where the handles attach! Nice design. It's a heavy pan and you have to make sure you don't drag it across your glass top range. Good, even cooking surface in a good size for many uses.

This 26cm saute pan is fantastic. Wonderful size for two or more and quality just oozes from it (well, not literally.) I have used this pan several times now and as it says on the box, there are no hot spots, it performs amazingly well on pretty low heat settings, has excellent heat retention and although is not the cheapest pan on the market, I reckon it is easily one of the very best quality and longevity. There are almost no signs of use after six outings on the gas rings and it is so easy to clean. I value the fact that the coating is guaranteed not to interact with the food -which is my worry with so many cooking pots on the market today. I have no hesitation in recommending this pan to anyone who has need for such an item. It's wonderful.

I've used Scanpan at home for years and love it. The handles are cool, comfortable and sturdy. It retains heat well and has a super flat bottom that doesn't warp. It doesn't scratch with its very tough fired-on ceramic-titanium surface--no Teflon to scratch through or flake off. And unlike most non-stick pans you can use metal utensils (marks from metal utensils are not scratches of the surface, but rather more like marks upon the surface similar to what metal pots leave in a porcelain sink...easily removed with a bit of Barkeeper's friend). Its non-stick surface is great for cooking. Read the directions on how to get the most out of cooking on the Scanpan surface. I use either water, broth, or a tiny bit of oil, but never spray-ons. I even successfully cook eggs with no oil. Clean up is a dream. It never warps from going from heat to cold water. In fact, Scanpan instructs you to do it just that way, and it works beautifully. The cold water on the hot pan lifts all the food off the surface, so that a quick swipe with a brush or sponge and a tad of detergent leaves Scanpan clean. It has all the attributes perfect for efficient galley cooking....sturdy, cool comfortable handles, non-stick, easy to clean with little water, ability to go from hot stove to cold sink without worrying about warping. This particular pan is perfect for 1-2 people. With it's high sides, the saute pans are better for boat galleys than the quite low sided fry pans. Food and liquids have less chance of slopping over the edges when the boat lurches. Because of my satisfaction with Scanpan at home, my son, who loves to cook, has outfitted his boat with Scanpan and is very pleased with their performance too.
