We use these where I work at a healthcare facility. We've used the "gun" version of the touchless thermometer. It was dropped a couple of times and cracked. This one takes a lickin. It works well. The LED indicator will show whether a patient/person has a fever or not based on the temp and will show a background red color for fever and green for afebrile.

Thermometer is solid and seems to read accurately, much more so than some of the "gun" style that read all over the place and sometimes won't read. It's a little difficult to tell if you are in the right position for reading a temperature without touching the person's forehead. Not a huge issue, probably would get used to the narrow design. I trust this thermometer much more than the other ones we have tried. I also like the ability to have it read drink temperatures.

Seems to work good. With the COVID virus going around, my wife decided we should get a digital thermometer. This is made by Medline, the same brand my employer made available to us at work to check our temp. This looks like exactly like the ones at work, but those say Medline on the front. This one says School Health on the front, but on the back it says Medline, and I think it was $20 bucks cheaper. It works great.
