I don't know if this really adds that much to the taste of our mid priced wines, but it certainly raises the bar on the pouring experience. Absolutely gorgeous SZ glass. I have informal wine glasses made by SZ and they wash up so clearly, unlike my cheapo Libbeys. I just rinse out this decanter after use and run a lightweight dish cloth around the bottom with a wooden spoon- air dry. Simple.You will want to provide something soft for this to sit on. I use a silicon trivet on our stone counters.

I've had Amazon send me this decanter several times, and each had been flawed by bubbles or scratches. I like the shape, but for this price, I'll be looking to another brand.

After receiving this decanter, I am now looking to just give away our old plain glass one. This is a thing of beauty in comparison, it's much lighter and easy to actually use where the plain glass one is heavy and awkward to pour from. I'm a fan of Schott Zwiesel glassware in general which is why I decided to give this a shot as a replacement in the first place. I find their "crystal" (non leaded) to be the hardest wearing pieces of glassware we own and stays completely clear no matter what we do to them and this looks like no exception to that rule.Pros: Impressive looking, comparatively light, easy to pour from.Cons: More expensive than just about any regular glass decanter you might come across.

Works great. Do NOT get an airator. Somulie in France told me it ruins wine. Great for young wines that need to breathe

Similar to all Schott products, this decanter is stylish and yet practical, sturdy, and inexpensive for the quality; it holds a full bottle of wine, it pours with control and have plenty of room for airing you red wines... My bar is fully dressed with Schott Zwiesel products and this another excellent piece to have. It definitely puts Ridel pieces to shame...
