Product is defective. I tried 2 times with this product and each time there was no adhesive on the product to make it stick to the screen. I do not recommend this product

My window screens make swiss cheese jealous with the amount of holes. I was concerned that some of the holes would require replacing the entire screen. Well, I was wrong. And I feel good admitting it! I was able to get the holes mended in just a minute or two per hole and all of my screens repaired within 30 minutes! Here's how easy it is:1) Cut the screen mend to the length large enough to cover the hole and then about 1/4-1/2 in on each side. If the hole is wide enough you need to put a second strand parallel, make sure you over lap the screenmend.2) Grab a hair dryer3) Place the screen mend against the screen and start blow drying on high heat.4) Watch...the adhesive melts away and that's when you know it's good to go. Keep going until you see all the adhesive disappear.5) Enjoy a nice breeze with no bugs.

Not quite as advertised in video. Repair screen should be tacky on one side to facilitate placement of patch. There is a backing that should adhere to the tacky side. It was completely non-adherent making placement more difficult. The final repair with the heat-sensitive adhesive component looks and mends effectively.

I wish I had known about this screen mender sooner. So easy to use and it works. First unscrew the container lid. Unroll the amount you need. Cut to size, with scissors. Make sure you know which side is facing the paper. Remove paper. Place the cut screen mender side that was against the paper, to the hole on the window screen. With the dominant hand, turn on the dryer. I used an extension cord connected to my hair dryer to reach the screen. With the other hand, hold the cut screen mender in place. Blow high heat dryer air over it for a few seconds while you press down, making sure it sticks in place. Takes only a few seconds. Easy does it! It sticks great. No chance of bugs flying in anymore! It rates 5 Stars!

We have squirrels. They’re crazy ! We have to patch screens often. This product worked substantially better than the competition. As you can see from the picture (this product on the right competition on the left), it’s fairly visible still but adhered and blended pretty easily with the hairdryer. The competition, well, I’ve been sitting here double the time and it is still a little tacky and the glue is not dissolving nor is it blending.

Muy útil solo que el pegamento no agarra parece que el producto está caduco

I got this to repair a small hole that was big enough to be letting bugs in and it worked great and just as described in the instructions. Another problem I had with my screen was a foot long run right along the edge of the door where the screen is held in place. It wasn't as concerning for me because the screen only slightly rested away from where it should be and as such, it wasn't really letting in bugs. However, I figured I might as well give a shot at repairing it.In the first picture, I used a small dental type hook to pull the rubber strip out of the damaged section of screen. In the second, I placed a strip of the screen repair material over the screen and under the rubber strip. The third photo shows the results of pushing the rubber strip back into place. After that, I used a heat gun to melt the glue and adhere the repair strip to the existing screen. This worked fantastically! While I did use a heat gun for this, it is most definitely not necessary. A hair dryer will get plenty hot enough to do the job. The glue dries fairly rigid once applied and doesn't feel sticky at all. This truly is a great product. I don't offer 5 stars lightly! If these repairs fail over time, I'll be sure to update this review. If there's been no update, you can assume that it's still holding up!

El pegamento se pega al papel , es muy dificil mantener el pegamento, lo hice con demasiado cuidado y aun asi batalle mucho y eso que fue con pedazos pequenos, no quiero pensar si fuera un pedazo grande.

This product works! So easy to use. You cut a piece off from roll unless you got the patches. pull backing off of it and apply “sticky”(will not be sticky, will look and feel dried out) side to screen and turn blow dryer on to hottest setting. The heat activates the glue and it becomes sticky. I did two patches on one screen and one of them had a huge hole. It’s works. Now we shall see how long it lasts. So far I’m happy.

I purchased the roll of Screenmend, as I had several little holes in the screens of my sunroom windows where birds mistakenly flew into the windows. The product, for me, does what it says it will do. It easily repaired my screens so that bees, wasps, flies, and mosquitoes cannot enter through the screen. I snipped off the size that I needed to cover the holes, placed my customized patches over the holes, turned on hair dryer to 'hot', and almost instantly the pieces adhered to the screen. Yes, the repairs are slightly noticeable, especially if you are looking for them. But with practice lining up the patch with the screen, you can make a repair less obvious. It will never just disappear into the original screen, but this is a quick alternative to taking down the screen frame and replacing the screen in it. (Who knows where my roller is from when I replaced the storm door screen years ago.) So this product is quick, easy, effective. If a patch happens to come off in 6 months or a year, it is easily replaceable.

This is my review of the Window Screen Repair Kit, 2" x 80" Roll, Charcoal. We have had a set of screen curtains that I made around our Cabana for over 3 years now. This year is the first year that we started to get some small holes in the screen. I wanted to get something to repair the screen right away so that the holed would not get any bigger. This showed as one of the best sellers in that area and I liked how it looked like you could barely see the repair. So I went ahead and bought some. How you use this Screen Repair is your cut a peice of the repair screen to cover your hole and leave about an inch around that bigger. Then you peel off the backing and place this on the hole and use a hairdryer to heat the glue to mend the too together. This did a great job on mending the holes in my screen and you can hardly see the patch. I even cut one of the patches in the shape of a butterfly and you can barely see it! So easy to do and I have a whole roll of this to use anytime another hole pops up! Would highly recommend this to anyone for simple quick screen repair!
