The clasps look like they are cast metal. I am ordering more. However the heads of the screws that come with the clasps do not screw all of the way in. Used screws that had a head that were a tiny bit smaller.

I was a little weary due to the reviews, but was willing to chance it for the cost and the look of the latches. They came quickly, plenty of screws came with the latches, and they fit my project perfectly.

These look nice but one of them was broken on arrival. The other three broke when mounting on a wooden box using the provided screws. The metal on these items is far too thin and brittle to be functional.

I love the latches, but they came without screws, which is in direct contradiction to the item listing. If I didn't need them for a Christmas project, they would be getting returned. Ended up heading to the local big box store to find #2 screws since the local hardware store didn't carry any. Unless you have a bunch of extra #2 screws lying around, Id stay away from these latches!
