The blade grinding produces a pointy and strong blade tip that is good for sticking into a target board. The same blade grinding also result in a shallow and thick edge which is not proficent in any utility cutting tasks. The handle is designed to be longer than the blade and without scales in order to achieve optimized flying stablization rather than cutting ergonomics. Throwing knife over length is 5.5", the set comes in with a black nylon sheath

It’s been about 8 years since I got these again, same product just different sheath than shown in picture. They have a new one. Just wanted to say that. It has single belt loop instead of 2 straps. Great as usual though.

Good finish. Easy to carry. Be careful throwing outside. They could get lost.

Good quality / durability. Arrived sharp too and keep their sharpness despite being thrown almost everyday on my wooden practice target. Really good investment. Gonna buy more of these bad boys.

There's a lot of things wrong with an $8 set of knives; the pouch/holster is a tad snug (hard to insert knives into all the way at times), the leg straps were designed for Paris Hilton's skinny legs (or possibly a child), and they don't come all that sharp.HOWEVER, the one thing I've noticed is that these knives are very well balanced and they also include a strong and pointy tip for puncturing your target. They'd be a nice gift for a niece, nephew, or whoever. Over-all, they are very good starter knives and honestly, the only real problem is their carrying pouch.

These were a terrific buy. Inexpensive but fun to mess around with. Not sure they would withstand throwing them into anything super hard like a tree etc but terrific for practicing with a cardboard box or two!

The knives were a bit shorter than I anticipated them being. However, for a beginner like myself, they work fantastically. There are only 2 problems I could see with this setup. One, the sheath is a piece of junk; within a few days I had a size able hole at the bottom of the sheath where the tips go. The bottom is just decimated after about 2 weeks. Also, the arm/leg bands are incredibly small. Granted I am a large man. But everyone else here seems to agree. The only other issue I have with the setup is that these knives are a pain to actually sharpen. Granted, the tips of the knives were all sharp (as throwing knives should be). But the front and back of the knives are dull and hard to sharpen. But that could just be the way throwing knives are supposed to be and thus didn't hold it against it.Overall, great for beginners. Easiest thing to do is just get a few boxes and just throw them when you want to waste a few minutes. But the moral of the story is that the sheath is flat out terrible.
