Way better than hand shears! Easy to install on a drill and start cutting. Speed depends on the drill so mine cuts fast and the build quality is mostly steel construction. I am impressed on how well it functions and i highly recommend!!!

As you can see in the attached photos, The Jikbeed Sheet Metal Cutter does not fit the DeWalt drill as the description indicates it would. The four pins on the support arm, two on each side, are supposed to engage the vent holes above the drill battery. The arms are not long enough to extend back to the holes. the best I could do was to have the support arm stratal the top of the drill base and engage just two holes. If you have big hands, this arrangement will limit the amount of space around the dill grip for your hand. I also tried it on my Flex Power Tool drill. The Jikbeed Sheet Metal cutter would not fit that drill no matter what I did. It's too bad that the support arm is so poorly designed, because otherwise this would be an excellent tool. It cuts sheet steel very well. Its functionality is badly limited by the support arm design.

The tool is helpful for many projects. It is not that loud, Safety gear is always recommended. The speed is fairly good. I do not recommend using it on a large project; small jobs are what I found most useful.

I recently purchased the Jikbeed sheet metal cutter attachment for my impact driver, and it has been a great addition to my toolset. This attachment is capable of cutting through materials up to 20GA thick, which includes a variety of materials like sheet metal, ductwork, asphalt shingles, and more. It’s incredibly versatile and suitable for multiple projects. The connection is easy with the standard 1/4-inch hex shank, and I found it compatible with most 18V-20V impact drivers and drills, regardless of the brand. Just keep in mind that the attachment itself is included, but the drill isn’t part of the package.Using the attachment is straightforward. It cuts efficiently and makes quick work of my tasks without any issues. I’ve used it on different materials, including plastic and rubber, and it has performed reliably every time.Overall, I highly recommend the Jikbeed sheet metal cutter attachment for anyone looking to expand the capabilities of their impact driver. It’s effective, easy to use, and makes cutting materials a breeze!

There's a ton of these drill attachment "shears" going around these days, this is the only one that's an actual shear in my opinion. The others just use 2 wheels and could barely cut 26 gauge. This shear can easily cut 20 gauge galvanized that I have.I will say, it doesn't fit all drills. First I tried it on my 20v Craftsman impact drill, but it didn't go narrow enough to fit the pistol grip, and didn't go wide enough to clamp just above the battery. It did clamp to the grip of my 24v Kobalt drill though, and that's what I've been using.I like that this doesn't have a lot of set up like the others, just chuck it, clamp it, and go. Makes dealing with thin metals easy. I've had no issues with it so far. I haven't used it a ton, it's a little cold to be working in my unheated garage much.

First I need to point out that the blackening on the lumber in the pic has nothing to do with this attachment or cutting the metal. My old shop used to be a rough built barn that was later converted to a house. When I bought the property it was obvious the old building just wasn't practical for keeping as a house or spending the time or money on something that wasn't framed for such especially when I have no clue how deep the poles are in the ground or the condition of them. So I use the bottom area to for projects as well as parking my vehicles in cold weather.Last year was the first year I closed the two open sides with tarps for the winter. It was a rush job. This year I am framing around the metal siding for better results but some areas needed trimming or cutting. The metal on this building is the really heavy metal you don't buy at the big box stores. I haven't measured the thickness but I can tell you that I can't flatten it with my 4 pound hammer.I looked around at my drills to decide which one to dedicate to this cutter for the time I was working on my project. I held the cutter up to several and none seemed better suited than another so I just picked one. The sections are floppy so snugging them enough to hold while still allowing adjustment made attaching this much easier. The chuck attachment was simple enough. The bottom attachment was too wide to attach to the handle and I wanted to be careful attaching lower as I didn't want any pressure on the battery. Attaching as I did was quite frustrating as the head of the adjusting bolt wouldn't stay put in the recessed seat. I'll most likely be super gluing it before the next use. Once I finally had it attached it didn't seem as if it would stay secure but once I tightened the other bolts it felt firm and secure as a unit.Time to test function. A grinder would have worked great but I didn't want to risk a fire. I certainly didn't want to have to remove the siding to cut it. I removed the two nails hold this corner piece, a roofing nail and a finishing nail that once secured some wood siding. I started first with the raised section to test cutting. Without any thickness adjustment it zipped right through. Now time to cut off the piece. It started pretty good but navigating the ridges and valleys was tricky. I put a wedge under the metal and, rather than trying to cut it all in one piece, I cut off sections at a time.As you can see this tool did the job. The bracket stayed secure and the cutter was ready for more.Great product. Great value.
