Too small for a cat, I would recommend it only of you have a kitten.

Kitty loves it, I love it. My only addition would have been magnets or velcro to keep the little cushion in place.

Looking for a light weight pet travel bag with backpack and shoulder carry bag. I do like it and the style is flexible except that it does not have any hand carry straps. That’s why I give a star less. It took my dog a few days to like the idea of this new bag. It work for my family to wear at backpack except has to adjust it everytime switching the usage because it does not comes with extra strap to switch from backpack to shoulder length. So, it can be a bit of time consuming if really trying to traveling by air to switching over. It seems to be sturdy. Got it with good discount cheaper than local pet store. It comes with a bottom pad foldable for both way use. Not very thick padding if the dog is standing on it for awhile may not be a good thing. So, I suggest only purchase for dog that is small enough to be sitting position on the backpack usage. Otherwise, maybe a problem for their back legs heels to holding up prolonged period of time.

In short great for a dog but feels a bit cramped - may want to size up. I have a Sherpa Original medium size carrier that I love and feels very secure for my ~9 lb cat with plenty of extra space. I live in NYC and carrying by hand/shoulder strap gets tiresome so I decided to look into backpacks. I was surprised to find minimal online reviews for the Sherpa backpack so decided to order (medium) and see for myself. I bought the Amazon used option to save a few dollars, not minding some slight use or pet hair, and unfortunately it was sent without any straps! So returning for that reason but don't plan to rebuy. Comparing to the Original the backpack feels a bit smaller despite being very similar proportions and both rated for pets up to 16lb- it does have a slight inner frame to hold itself up but nowhere near as robust as the Original's wire frame, and will slightly collapse on itself from the "top" entrance - I think a dog wouldn't mind especially if using with the top open but this would freak my cat out. Opens from the top, front and bottom. The mesh is quite robust and dark - slightly thicker than the Original. The moveable Sherpa board is thinner Sherpa fabric and the board is plastic with some give (vs original is very solid and I believe wood). On the backpack the board folds so you can use it in the base folder if in backpack mode or flat if using carrier mode. Note there is NO tether - not even a D ring to secure a leash which seems like a silly and bad design oversight. Otherwise seems well constructed but design could be better.

I just made a trip from Dallas, TX to Anchorage, AK. This carrier kept everything comfy for my new fur baby. The carrier comes with a cushy lamb wool like base. I still recommend a few puppy blankets and even some peepads (just in case). The side pockets were able to carry collapsable bowls, food, and necessities for transport. This also works great for SAFE transport (can be seatbelted) in a car. It also can be carried as a backpack, but that limits space for your furbaby putting it vertical. Great multi-functional product.

Initially I bought the Sherpa Ultimate on Wheels because I think he would like to roll. He did not so I had to carry it. So then I bought this and he really liked it. I wore it in the front like a baby carrier and he was very calm that way. It was a little less room but still enough for him to move around. I like that it layed on its side to go under the seat which gave him more room to stretch out. It fit under the seat with room to spare to put my purse too. The sides were soft which made it easy to maneuver it under the seat in the small space we had.For reference, he is an 8lb papillon. He is a little taller than the specs for the bag but he did not seem cramped at all. He curled up in the bottom and went to sleep when I was carrying him around. I really like this carrier and recommend it if you are travelling with a small dog.

We were traveling with a Corgi who is very long. She is 8 months, 17 lbs. and needed the entire (end to end) expandable section to be comfortable. While carrying her, she was a little cramped but once we used the extendable area, she was much more comfortable. It was a tight fit under the airplane seat. The construction of the unit was well designed with the exception of the zipper on the extendable section. All other zippers had a safety latch on them, but the extendable zipper did not. Our girl is very smart and easily figured out how to nudge it open. We made sure that this zipper area was blocked. The materials used were very sturdy and durable. As our furry companion is still a puppy, she was digging at the mesh area, and it held well.If there one thing, I would change would be to make the entire unit square. The side facing out has a curve to it. Making it square would give your pet just a tad more room. As we tried several, this was the best fit for us and our Corgi.

El producto es de muy buena calidad pero si es extremadamente pequeña… la quise para un cachorro de terrier escoces y apenas le podría caber.

Great product...missing straps so it can’t be carried though... also bought a replacement same type/ brand. My dog travelled in it great on trip to our vacation destination. On the way home, she got frightened by somethIng, while on my back. She started tearing at the mesh on the bag and had a hole big enough to crawl through before I realized what she had been doing. I had to buy another $190 bag at the airport to get on the plane. 🙁
