This wire is exactly what it says it is. Exactly the same sized wire as the wires I'm replacing on my 1978 Fender Jazz Bass. Pickups to control cavity. The only difference (and superior in my estimation) is the vinyl outer cover. The original Fender wire has the braided part on the outside of the 2 small wires and is more difficult to deal with.

This is awesome for guitar projects where shielding may be difficult to do. I use it to wire cigar box guitars. Works great!☺

This shielded wire helped with my cigar box guitar project. I hear no buzzing noises with my single humbucker pickup which is very good. The only challenging thing was that i used a single edge razor to carefully peel back the outer casing to expose the shielding wire strands so I could wind these strands together to serve as my ground wire.

I added a master volume control to two guitars with this wire. The wire worked fine but next time will order heavier wire.
