Your cart is empty.The Shimano Di2 EW-WU111 Inline Wireless Unit boosts the system's ease of use by adding Bluetooth connectivity in addition to carrying over ANT+ to pair with an even wider range of devices. Paired with Shimano's E-Tube Project Wireless app, the Inline Wireless Unit lets you customize your drivetrain and update firmware right from your smartphone or other Bluetooth equipped device. This diminutive component is like a black box for your bike, feeding data from your derailleurs to your phone or tablet so you can monitor drivetrain metrics like gearing and battery life. The latter is especially useful, as it's looking to be the most effective way the industry has come up with to ensure you won't unexpectedly run out of juice during the trip home. It also measures general riding metrics, so you're not sacrificing the functionality of a normal computer by adding drivetrain info to your cockpit. Your pedal revolutions will also be televised. The Di2 EW-WUlll Inline Wireless Unit is compatible with Shimano's E-tube Di2 systems. In addition to it Bluetooth connectivity, it transmits via ANT+ to Shimano's own PRO computer, as well as other ANT+ equipped head units.

Not sure why this didn’t come with the bike in the first place, but hey…. Shimano gonna Shimano. Really easy to instal on my bike, since there was a “pass through” adapter that could just be replaced with this unit. Works great.

The WU111 is very easy to install, simply connect one end somewhere inline with your Di2 system. It can either be installed as the last item in a chain or as a connector between two wires.Has worked flawlessly every time so far on two different systems. Note this is for 11sp Di2 as 12sp has wireless natively. The two systems are not interchangeable. It also requires the newer 11sp battery and will not work with the old battery.If you want to or need to update firmware, change settings or perform other maintenance on your 11sp system, this allows you to connect to eTube from your phone and replaces the annoying method of connecting a windows PC.

It took 2 attempts to get the device updated via the E-Tube app but finally held and all functions seem to be working. Problem is the D-Fly Bluetooth transmitter never goes to sleep - stays on 24/7 even with bike sitting idle. The result is the battery drains about 10% every day without any shifting going on. The app is disconnected from bike and closed on phone along with Bluetooth. The Garmin 530 which is paired is also powered down when not in use. Assuming a hardware defect since firmware reports up to date on ETube.Update 12/13/23 After making a wired connection to a PC running E-Tube and disconnecting the bluetooth function on the D-Fly is not staying on continuously any longer.
