I have not put a ton of miles on this hub yet, but so far it has been a solid replacement and upgrade for my old 7 speed hub. I used this to convert my 7 speed cassette to a 10 speed cassette.

Used to replace a worn freehub on an old Shimano hub. Cleaned the hub and bearings, regreased, and reassembled with the new freehub, and a new 11-40t cassette. Tensioned the spokes, and trued the wheel on my old Park TS1 stand. Operates as good as new. Climbs hills better too.

Stupid and throwing money at upgrading an old 1994 trek 830. This hub works with cs-h093a 11-42 9 speed microshft cassette. Making my old money pit a 1x will be fun.Old hub would only fit 8 of the cassette gears for reference.

My old 90s Specialized Rock Hopper 3 x 7 speed mountain bike needed an upgrade. With this hub body, I was able to convert the original rear 7 speed wheel so it would accept an 11 speed cassette, now I'm rolling with a more modern wide range 1 x 11 set up and it's a whole new bike.

I bought this to convert my rear wheel on a burley tandem to 8spd. Cassette fits well, freehub mounts well to the hub but the drive side cone is to big to fit in the hub body. Don’t try and make your shimano hg50 an 8spd. The hub is great the comparability is not
