Good winter boot

Size 11 CamoThese are good looking boots and appear to be capable, however I didn't get a chance to test them because I decided to return them after trying just one of them on.Easy enough to get on, and while they seem to run a tad small the fit is OK. I wear a 10.5 and ordered 11 for cold weather socks and they felt snug with just street socks on.The problem is getting them off which is extremely difficult. They've molded in a small ledge above the heal for a boot jack but it's too small and slips out of the my jack every time. Taking these off without a boot jack is very difficult and time consuming. I don't have a boot jack in the goose blind or in the truck so these are not going to work.When you put these on you really have to drive your heal downward with force until it pops into the heal cup and this is what makes removal so difficult. In defense of the maker, this feature will probably keep your foot in the boot if you get stuck in sucking mud, but there's a technique for doing that without this feature most people discover themselves pretty quick.Anyway, I'm sorry these didn't work out because with Muck's decline in quality I'm not sure what to try next.

These are so comfortable and truly waterproof, working out in snow and cold wet weather and my feet stay dry and comfortable. And good traction on snowy, icy ground. Great price for a boot that is easily comparable to boots double the price!

These are really nice high quality boots. They go up nice and high, are true to size, and are warm and waterproof. They don't have a zipper but rather slide on, and have a little elastic thing with a plastic clip to keep the elastic in place. The plastic clip is pretty cheap and wouldn't last through anything rugged, but the boots would still stay on without the elastic or clip.So I put these boots on and wore them on a two mile walk on a cold and rainy November day. They kept my feet completely dry and didn't slide around (meaning no extra thick socks required). I was all ready to give them five stars -- and then it came time to take them off.My feet were completely stuck in them. The way they go on is that you press your feet in and they kind of "click" into position once your heel gets past the back heel of the boot where the shoe part starts. But putting them on is a lot easier than taking them off. It requires two hands to pull and the little notch on the heel isn't useful until they are almost already off. I was afraid they would come flying off and hit me in the face. I finally figured out that you can wiggle them back and forth and slowly loosen them up, but it takes way longer than it should.So unfortunately, these are not quick boots to take the dogs on a quick walk. And they're also far less than ideal if you have any flexibility, strength or mobility issues. But if you need to wear them around all day and don't mind spending a minute or two taking them off (or maybe if you put bread bags on your feet like in the old days!), these are really nice boots. Five stars other than the removing them issue, but it was enough of an issue where I had to deduct a star.
