Don't use any wrench or hardware when installing. It will cause the product damged. The correct installation method is to put the rubber ring into the nut at first, then connect the faucet, tighten the nut by hand, finally rotate the body to tighten.

I've used this for 6 months now it's great. Works great especially on smaller shower heads. I love it for setting the temperature in the shower for my kids, no more reaching in to see if it's too hot or too cold and I can adjust the temperature it before they start complaining that it's getting cold. Also has a timer feature so you can keep tracki of how long you've been in the shower or as I started doing, track of how long the shower runs every month,

I was worried after reading some of the other reviews but it works great. The install only took 2 mins, the one gotcha was the o-ring/metal strainer combo was actually two stack on one another. The device turns on right when the water starts flowing and turns off when the water flow stops. Overall this is exactly what I was looking for to determine how 'cold' my showers were getting.

Unfortunately both my initial order of this item, and the subsequent replacement item were defective. I'd reccomend trying a different brand.

I recently bought the shower thermometer, It did not show anything and I was worried about how to put a battery and tiene I noticed that nowhere in the manual it was mentioned. Reading the product description on Amazon I noticed, the unit was supposed to work with the flow of the water.I have tried too many times and no way it work.I am very dissapointed.

I love this little shower head thermometer. It installed without any problems! And it's quiet too. Just know that you'll need to have some Teflon tape on hand to wrap around the threads...otherwise you'll have leaks.

It’s all plastic, seals might or might not be in the box, impossible to tighten enough to have it not leak without cracking the she or wrecking the seal. Just basically uses. Might as well just get a good meat thermometer and take it to the outflow.

I had originally bought this to place on the shower hose extension. When I tried it, it didn't work, so ordered a replacement. Replacement didn't work in the same spot either. So looked up reviews on similar products, and a reviewer mentioned they had the same problem and moved it to the base. Gave it a try and it worked. Apparently there isn't enough pressure at the extensions shower head. So far it works, but bummer it didn't work at spot I needed it. I do like how it gives the temp, which is especially important with little ones. I'll most likely end up keeping the one I was going to send back since problem solved.
