I own multiple knives from this set and this one by far feels the lightest and most cheap. Handle was falling apart as well.

Great little knife. Shun are great quality for the price point. Good for beginners to professionals.

Don't think I've ever had a "smaller" knife I've liked as much. I use it as both a utility & a paring knife. Love the squared handle so it rests on bowls, cups, etc. without falling off (the trend seemed to be rounded handles which I never liked). Very sharp too. All I ever use now are my chef's knife & this.

Not my go-to as I’d hoped. I think I knew it might not be the most comfortable to hold and use by the pictures and that is the case. For the price it is not comfortable to hold. I have smallish hands and the handle doesn’t give enough material in a hand shaped hold. The blade is okay. Needs frequent tune-ups but that is expected and fine for this blade. No complaints about the blade. The design is just overall inconvenient. I suspected this so this is on me. Still looking.

Can’t say enough about Shun knives. They’re expensive but they are amazing. So sharp, good and comfortable grip.

Shun knives are works of art and the aus10 steel is surprisingly strong.

Great entry to Shun but if you are used to the Premier or Classic line, the handle might bother you. The knife is full tang and the tang is exposed in the handle on the top and bottom, it digs into your hand as you use it. It is as sharp as the premier line, but a LOT lighter. This does not have the same VG-MAX edge, so I am unsure of edge longevity. The shape of this knife is very useful and is truly a utility knife.
