This is a nice small mounting block for outdoor lights, that comes with everything you need to install minus the power tools. The built in electrical makes it extra easy, and that's not something included with every mounting block. The black color goes great with black lights. I would get this again if needed. It was an all in one solution.

This siding cover for my outdoor light fits perfect. Match standard sidings. Many screw holds for my lights.

I did not use this on siding but instead as part of a fix to replace an outdated, fluorescent fixture in an apartment closet. Pulling the old fixture out showed wiring with no electrical box and a messy hole in the wall so I needed some way to enclose and mount a simple LED light for the closet. This attached well to the wall, covering the hole and allowing me to pull the wiring into the wiring block and install my light. The backside shape/step to accommodate siding isn't needed for my flat wall fix but this will do.The materials are complete and sturdy.

If you need to mount lights or other exterior devices (like security cameras, etc.), this block is the right choice. In addition, the price is much better than the big box home supply centers. It is well made and fits perfectly on my vinyl siding. I had this hard styrofoam block with a metal junction box that had deteriorated after years in use, and I didn’t want to paint anymore. The block was also a standard octagon shape (not elongated like this one) that didn’t quite allow the light to sit properly on the block. This one is the perfect size and shape for my light. I really like the fact that the junction box is molded into the mounting block, making it a one-step installation. This elongated, longer base fits my new “lantern” style light better and gives me a more stable mounting plate. The mounting block is easy to install, fits perfectly on my vinyl siding, and is a good value. Looks great, fits great; what more can you ask for?

The mount came with very clear instructions on how to install the mount, and is very easy to install. The material is a plastic but is very durable and looks nice when installed. It's a decent size for a normal size outside light.

The plastic siding mounting block feels like good strong and sturdy plastic. All hardware you need to install this is provided.This is my first time adding a mounting block to my siding and noted that the mounting block does not initially conform with the lap on my siding but once you screw it in, the inward pressure of the mounting block and the flexibility of the vinyl siding make for good mating.What attracted me to this one was the built-in electrical box which allows room for your wire and connectors. If this is not needed in your application, I would suggest looking for smooth face mounting block.The price is on par with similar products, so I would say that this is worth your consideration.
