Very good at slow feeding. It took my cat about 10 minutes to finish their food compared to 2 minutes on a standard dish. However my cats are crazy menaces and ended up tearing it and ingesting it, even when I put it away. If your cats are like mine, make sure that feeding time with something like this is supervised and placed where they cannot reach, otherwise you will need to find a stainless steel solution.

This is a nice study feeding mat. I actually got it for my 12lb ShihTzu. He is not a fan of eating out of a regular bowl for some reason (Shih Tzu's can be odd like that!) but has no issue eating off plastic lick mats. This has a low side to it and is very pliable, so it's easy for him to eat out of.

I liked the idea of this slow feeder since I have multiple cats. When it arrived I took it out of its packaging and washed it since it did have some chemical packaging smell. It dissipated easily after the washing. What I realized was that I probably don't a pure silicone slow feeder for my cats since they're so soft and jelly-like. I'd really like something that was silicone in the feeding part with a glass/steel/ceramic (hard) edge. I can see my cats just chewing them to bits. They've got cute cat qualities, rabbit qualities, dog qualities.. all = 100% adorable fuzzy faces :)
