Success! This thing works great. It keeps him busy for quite a while as he works to get all the food out—exactly what I was hoping for to keep him distracted when I need him to be. He just keeps licking away! It does exactly what it's supposed to. Since it’s made of silicone, cleanup is super easy. I’m really happy with it.

this is a very simple slow feeder bowl- the walls are short and the bowl is rather shallow so it’s easy for the dog to get all the pieces with little effort, which is perfect for dogs who need a little variety but don’t need a super stimulating or genuinely slowing slow feeder. it’s more of a fun design for the owner than a challenge for the dog, to be honest. it’s a nice quality bowl, made of fairly thick silicone with a gorgeous color and cool design. it also doesn’t hold a lot of food, so for bigger dogs it may not hold their entire meal, but my german shepherd loves it!

I've passed on a couple of slow feeder bowls because they honestly were just too ugly to put in the dog-feeding area of my kitchen where I'd see them every day, so I was really happy to find this one. I love the flower pattern and this one comes in some nice color choices; I went with black and it looks great in our kitchen. Best of all, this bowl actually slows my dog a little when he's scarfing down his food, and is an improvement on that front over the slow feeder bowl that this one replaced.The "bowl" is so shallow that I didn't think it would hold my dog's full food portion (1 cup), but once I poured the food in and it went under the flowers it all fit just fine, with some room to spare. (The photo I've included with this review shows the feeder with exactly one cup of food in it). My dog quickly sucked up all of the exposed food as he is wont to do, but had to lick under the flowers to get the rest of the kibble. Mission accomplished in slowing him down just enough to give my other (slow eater) dog time to eat his food before it got stolen!One note, I tried this on different surfaces and on some the little suction cups on the bottom stick like glue, while others it doesn't stick at all (not surprisingly including my uneven-surfaced kitchen floor tile where I feed my dogs). It wasn't a problem though because the feeder didn't move much anyway just from the friction, and even if my dog does move it around at some point he'll just be moving it to a corner a few inches away. Also, I wouldn't really mind if it slipped around a bit since that would just add one more slight degree of difficulty to his food-scarfing and maybe slow him down one more tick.Very happy with both the look and function of this bowl and would recommend it.

Slow feeder dishes are an integral part of a hyperactive pup's life- my youngest dog acts like she's never eaten in her life every mealtime and therefore these types of dishes are very useful to make sure she doesn't eat too quickly and make herself sick. The design isn't really super important but it's neat to have a variety or something interesting.
