The trunk is a lot smaller than I expected. Also the elastic that holds it around your head was stretched out, so it just falls off your face. Not worth the money!

Listen, I know this wasn't the intended use of this product, but I am just here to give the people what they want, which is a recounting of my experience with the product. This includes the times I have thought outside of the box because perhaps you, reader, are also thinking outside of the box. I used this as a teapot spout when I turned my head into Mrs. Potts from Beauty and the Beast. I had seen many a Mrs. Potts costume that was a full body experience, but nary a one that focused solely on transforming the human head into a teapot. I found this interesting, considering the size of a human head is much more comparable to the actual size of a teapot/Mrs. Potts than a human body would be. I made it my quest to create my own costume, and one of the hardest parts of this was figuring out how to make my nose a spout. Wax and spirit gum just wasn't cutting it for the drama I needed. I explored many options before settling on this here elephant trunk. I chopped off the nostrils, painted it white, and voila! A teapot spout was born! It's a little heavy when worn upside down and it kinda messes with your peripheral vision (I don't recommend driving while wearing this upside down), but I was the talk of the costume party for sure. It is now years later and I still have people say to me, "OMG, were you Mrs. Potts at [our friends' names]'s Halloween party a few years ago?" So it's certainly effective in accomplishing your costume goals.

Note: Unlike lots of Amazon pics where the item is (poorly) photoshopped onto the person the pic of the trunk on me is real!So, this thing looks cute and is realistic and elicits funny responses. Great. It's very uncomfortable to wear, though. The major problem is that it's made of rubber and heavy. It will stay in place but lies down against the mouth. Further, there's no contouring of the opening that sits against the face. I was tempted to shape it with scissors to make it sit more comfortably, but then I realized the original problem of it lying flat against my face wouldn't be solved due to the weight.A real solution would be to make this thing out of foam rubber or styrofoam or even rigid plastic to greatly reduce the weight so that it could actually extend out from the face a smidge, greatly increasing comfort. Unfortunately, good luck finding something like that.Looks good, though, and your results may vary when it comes to comfort.
