HOW TO APPLY: HOT WAX APPLICATION
Using a ski-waxing iron, hold the wax block against the hot iron to melt (iron temp approx. 230°-260°F*). With iron always moving, spread a thin layer of the wax over the base. Allow wax to cool, then scrape, brush and buff to remove excess wax.
*Experiment with your iron to find the right temperature setting, be sure to keep it below smoking point.
*Make sure to have a SHARP WAX SCRAPER

It works great for sharpening my scraper, the price seems high for what it is. Might be worth it if you are waxing gear weekly. But for most people, it takes long enough for a scrapper to lose enough sharpness, it might be a better value buying a new scrapper when that happens.

I've been using the same scraper for 3 years. I could not believe what a difference this made. I really didn't thunk it was dull. Got the skis scraped in half the time. Worth the price.

To expensive and not very good quality. It works fine but too expensive for a little sharpener.

Works will for its intended purpose. If the file dulls, I wish you could pull the file out and readjust. You can see where the file is "jammed" in the slot and that it has a backside of files but I don't see an easy way to pull or pop it out to flip it and reinsert. It might be possible with ingenuity but the holder might sustain some damage depending on how you can get it out.

Only reason I didn't go all 5 star's is because the metal scraper is really hard to remove.
