I've been wanting an indoor pizza oven for a while, and picked this up before Christmas thinking I'd be able to test it around the holidays. Unfortunately, due to a family illness, my pizza making plans got delayed, and the return window came and went before I was able to test this. If I'm being brutally honest, I'm not sure I would have opted to keep it had I had the choice, so I want to point out the things I like and don't like about this oven that otherwise seems to have rave reviews.Let's start with the positives. It comes with everything you need for success including an infrared thermometer so you know when it's reached your desired temp. There's a pizza peel to help you launch the pizzas and a stone that's easy to install and remove. There's even a waterproof cover if you're planning to use it outdoors and store it in your garage (although the cover only fits with the door removed). The oven is exceptionally well-insulated, and while the exterior does get warm the longer it's on, it does a fantastic job of keeping the heat in which is precisely what you want. I'm on the fence about the "door" because when you take it off, you need somewhere to set it and it's blazing hot, so keep that in mind if you're using it in your kitchen. You do have the option to cook with the door off, but you'll lose a lot of heat doing this, so I don't recommend it. I have a gas cooktop in my kitchen and I place a piece of countertop remnant over the grates and the pizza oven on top which works well, but I still have to get creative with finding a place for the "door." The feet are adjustable making it easy to make it level and secure wherever you decide to use it. As I mentioned in the headline, it *does* make a good pizza and I've been happy with the overall results, but there are a couple flaws that could be improved to make the overall user experience better.I have three main complaints about this oven: 1) it doesn't quite reach the advertised temp of 750 degrees, 2) the oven's opening is very tight, and 3) it's a real pain to clean. The first one is pretty straightforward - it doesn't get as hot as it says. It did get to 700 degrees, but it's difficult to know if it reaches the advertised max temp with the door on, because you can only temp it with the door off. I think it's not quite reaching the top temp because it did take longer than I expected to cook my pizza. That's not a huge problem, we're talking about 4-5 minutes versus 2-3, but if you're cooking for a crowd, it might slow you down/be frustrating. There are two dials on the front of the oven, one for the top and the other for the bottom, but because it doesn't get as hot as expected, I leave them both on the max setting. It would have been nice if they had a temp listed on them so that you could easily dial in different temps for different styles of pizzas, so this is another issue, since it makes it a bit of a guessing game if you want a particular temp that's less than the oven's max - you know, in the event you want to cook something other than pizza! The second issue is really the worst aspect of this oven's design. With the stone in place, you have a height of 1.75" from the top of the stone to the top of the door opening - this is the space where you'll be sliding in your pizza to launch it. There's a couple problems with this super-tight spacing: 1, it means it's very easy to hit the heating element at the top of the oven if you're not mindful about the tight space, and 2, you can't see inside the oven to see where the back edge of the stone is, which means it's easy to go a bit too far and end up with a big mess. My advice is to keep your pizza low-profile and don't go overboard on the toppings. This would also make cooking other things, calzones for example, a non-starter. This is ok if you're cooking for yourself, but if you want to have a pizza party where you can turn and burn pizzas in quick succession, this will be a pain. There's also no interior light, which also would have made this easier for the user. Keep in mind you'll also need to rotate your pizza halfway through cooking because the back of the oven is hotter than the front of the oven, so it's not like you can just launch it and forget it until it's done.Last, but not least, this oven is a pain to clean. It would have been great if there was a catch tray on the bottom that could slide out so you could remove the little burnt bits/stray toppings that drop to the bottom of the oven, because the stone doesn't provide 100% coverage at the back and sides. It's not bad if you cook one pizza, but if you're cooking multiple pizzas in succession or miss the mark when you launch your pizza, you could end up with cheese or toppings that find the oven's floor that you'll have to figure out how to get out of there. You obviously have the option to just ignore the stuff that ends up on the oven's floor, but when you turn the oven on the next time, it's going to burn up that stuff and smoke like crazy, which is not optimal if you're using it indoors. The same will be true if you don't scrape the stone off between pizza making sessions. The bottom line is that this oven is good quality, well-insulated, and makes a good pizza. Unfortunately, it's a bit more challenging to use and not as versatile as I would have liked, so I'd rate it 3.5 stars if that was an option. I'm not generally a fan of kitchen implements that are a pain to clean, and pizza ovens are no exception, but my biggest issue is the very narrow opening that doesn't leave much in the way of wiggle room for launching your pizza or cooking other things. If you're a novice pizzaiolo you'll probably want an oven that's a little more forgiving than this one, and there are certainly enough out there to choose from. I got a great deal on this oven, so it will do for now, but I hope they'll modify future iterations of this oven to make it more versatile and user-centric.

We have cooked about 10 pizzas. They all turned out great with crispy crusts and perfectly cooked toppings. Follow the directions and use plenty of flour on the pizza peel. Worth the money!

The Pizza Oven is very high quality and is definitely worth the money. It cooks pizza evenly, quickly and gives the dough a nice crispy crust. The included accessories make it much easier to prepare and cook your pizza. I also like the versatility of being able to use it indoors and outside as well.

This pizza oven is great for homemade pizza! And a fun family dinner night! It’s easy to use and cooks the pizza fast and evenly. We all made pizza with our topping choice and also tried cheesy bread that turned out great! We might try calzones next! The oven was easy to set up and start using! Came with instructions a recipe book and the temperature gun help regulate heat.

As a family that cherishes homemade pizza nights, we found ourselves constantly struggling with achieving that perfect crust in a conventional oven. That's when we decided to purchase the Slice Box Electric Pizza Oven. The product arrived in a robust 44-pound package, ensuring everything was intact. The box contained the Electric Pizza Oven, a pizza stone, an oven door, a pizza peel, a laser thermometer, an outdoor cover, a recipe booklet, and a user manual. The oven itself required no assembly, while the pizza peel and oven door needed minimal setup—attaching the handles, which took no more than five minutes using the included tools. The Slice Box boasts a user-friendly design with two control knobs for the top heating element and the bottom element that heats the pizza stone. We appreciated the simplicity of this design, making it approachable even for beginners.Heating up to the recommended 675°F took around 20 minutes, easily monitored with the provided laser thermometer. Our first experiment was a frozen pizza which came out crispy and perfect in about 5 minutes. Following this, we cooked frozen soft pretzels that were ready in 2-3 minutes. We then proceeded to make our own pizzas, ranging from classic pepperoni and cheese to large supreme variations. Each pizza cooked beautifully within 5-6 minutes, depending on our crust preference. The process was straightforward: remove the oven door, slide in a pizza using the peel, replace the door, and then simply wait a few minutes before removing the pizza. The ease of use was remarkable. The Slice Box operates silently and cleaning up after use is a breeze. Its compact size allowed us to use it on the same table where we dined, adding to its convenience.Overall, the Slice Box Electric Pizza Oven has been a delightful addition to our kitchen appliances. Its ease of use, efficiency in cooking, and the quality of the pizzas produced make it a worthy investment. The only thing that might stop me from using this oven regularly is the unlikely event of growing tired of delicious homemade pizza. Highly recommended for anyone venturing into the world of home pizza making!
