However after 30 minutes of fooling around with them I still couldn't get them to fasten the way it seemed they should. Between the shoe and the thumbscrew I just couldn't get them to work right.I don't want to say these don't work correctly - I'm no expert but the replacement I purchased from another vendor worked perfectly. Maybe it was just the one I happened to get. I would try again.
