It was identical to the lock I replaced. I used the screws from my old lock, so I didn’t have the screws breaking like in some of the other reviews.

Old grandfather clock never was closed properly many years! This is so easy perfectly fit, take 5 minutes to do it myself. Now it closes! Yey! 🤗

Worked out perfectly for my desk. It was easy to install and took about 10 minutes total. I had to be careful because this piece of furniture is really old and I didn’t want to damage it. The lock is good and it does the job.

I have an older curio cabinet that my wife bought and she wanted a way to lock it. The keyhole and front plate were present but the locking mechanism was missing. This worked great. The screw holes even lined up. I did have some repairs on the holes in the curio so the screws would tighten up. (Tip - use toothpicks and a little wood glue inserted in the old holes to make them tighten nicely.). Only thing I wish is it came with a second key.

The lock works well and is a good fit. The only reason I'm rating it a 4 star instead of 5 is because it is only offered in bright brass and not antique brass.
