The sound deadener material allows you to deal with both, cold and the heat. Well-insulated interior will give you a high comfort while in vehicle.

This sound deadening mat has proven to be a versatile product with multiple applications.While primarily designed for automotive use, I've found it to be highly effective in reducing noise and heat transfer in my metal workshop door. The mat's closed-cell structure provides excellent insulation, and its sound-dampening properties have noticeably reduced noise levels, improving my overall workshop experience. The material is easy to cut and shape, allowing for customization to fit various surfaces. The adhesive backing is strong and has held up well on my shop door.Overall, this sound deadening mat is a practical and effective solution for a variety of noise and insulation challenges.

Falls off instantly. Surface was clean and dry and no adhesion at all. Comes right up. Really disappointing. Big waste of money

Very light and sticks well, did a very brief knock test and it definitely lessened the sound. Very easy to pull off the covering to stick it.

I’m happy to have these products (I’m doing this review for both SmartSHIELD mats), but they are not a complete solution. They are not an adequate replacement for butyl rubber aluminum composites [BRAC] for dampening low frequency vibration in large panels. But BRAC adds a LOT of weight, so complete coverage of every panel is undesirable and unnecessary. Furthermore, BRAC is insufficient for dampening of high frequency vibrations, especially those arising internally, in part because the flat aluminum surface reflects them back, rather than dampens. In more recent years, best practice has been to add an additional layer of foam “rubber” over top of the BRAC and applied with complete panel coverage. It is for this purpose that the non aluminized version of SmartSHIELD is well suited for.The version of SmartSHIELD that includes a layer of aluminum is what I find to be most interesting. This version reflects radiant heat that foam only does not, is vastly lighter in weight than BRAC (but can’t match the low frequency dampening of it), and its unique (at least to my knowledge) creased crosshatching tends to disperse mid to high frequencies rather than just reflect them—and help in it mold to curved surfaces.I could say more, but this would become an article rather than a review. I’ll just add that for maximum effect on large panels, Id strategically place patches of BRAC, place a layer of SmartSHIELD with aluminum between the patches or full coverage, and then a thin layer of foam over that.
