This plate works well on my S1. It adds a very cool effect to prints. It excels at holding my PETG filaments to the bed. I was having a bunch of issues no matter which PETG I used. The adhesion with this plate solved those issues. It is easy to clean with dish soap and water. I do wish they had included that information because I wasn’t sure if I would ruin the plate the first time I had to clean it.

I used this plate because I was having trouble fighting to get ABS and PETG prints off of my PEI sheets on top of a glass build plate. Going to steel was a great move, and this one worked just fine. I could take or leave the cool patterns that the plate leaves on the bottom of the print, but there was no arguing with how easy it was to bend the prints free once cooled. You'll want to spend the time to get it perfectly level and dial in the nozzle distance. It behaves a bit "slicker" than my previous setup which would adhere if you got the filament and the plate in the same room with each other, but the bottom finish and the ease of detachment make this one a definitive upgrade.

Using these build plates on my 3d printers produces a nice effect on flat surfaces that touch directly on the build plate - like the bottom of the tea light stars pictured. The only down side is that prints don't come off easily, I had to use my scraper. With most build plates a thin layer of glue (purple stick glue) and prints come off easier but then the effect does not show on the print as well as without glue. I gave them 4 stars as it is still pretty cool.

It really works!I've got an upcoming project where I was thinking of making the lids "fancy" with a textured design when I saw this psuedo holographic print bed and I honestly doubted it would be able to replicate that in the print. There were no instructions or anything included but as a matter of habit I wash all my bed plates in hot (dawn) soapy water and normally give them a good scrubbing with a nylon however I was worried of damaging the finish so I only lightly scrubbed them. Then I dried with a microfiber towel and finished it by wiping it down with isopropyl and then letting it air dry.Seeing as how I doubted it's ability I tried it out on a smaller job on one of my trays I was printing and WOW it really worked! Bed adhesion was great and it released with a little effort after everything cooled. Honestly the only criticism I have is the alignment cutouts seem to be too far apart and rather than resting perfectly "centered" I have to verify its lined up before it rests down on the magnetic plate (so it's not quite indexed properly for my printer). If you want fancy textures for your 3d prints this is a great one to get.

This is like any other textured/patterned build plate, you want to be careful with the holo side to not crush the microstructures but it makes for a pretty fun, pretty bright effect on the bottom of your models, It's also quite a bit smoother than the standard PEI so if you're wanting that injection molded feel this can help... at least on the one side haha
