Hexagon socket screws have a cup tip, which produces a thin edge and can penetrate deep into a hard surface for firm fixation.
The fastener is headless and contains an internal hex driver. Use an Allen key (hex wrench) to fix it with the required torque as needed.
Although they are often used in machinery, they can also be found in homes to secure window cranks to window operators or to secure indoor door handles to spindles. The length is measured from the top of the fastener to the bottom of the cup point.
